So I used the search function and I got zilch on this title so my apologies if there was a thread made.

Conflicks is kind of hard to describe. It is a twisted comedy space battle strategy game. When I first saw the gameplay I thought it was channeling gratuitous space battle but on closer inspection it seems much less spam focused.

It is made by Artifice Studios which made Sang-Froid (a game I reviewed!) which was heavily flawed but I liked it overall.

It is coming out on August 20th and it looks genuinely interesting, at least to me.

I guess chickens decided that the best meat is human meat?

The game play itself looks... kinda interesting (I enjoyed SPAZ and VoidExpanse) but that chicken thing and the overly stated "quirky, and in your face "ha. ha. look at our humour!" bit is going to keep me well away until others take the plunge and let me know if this is good or not.

Y'all too grimdark. I honestly wasn't expecting people to be this flabbergasted.

Tactical combat is horrible, the story and trailers are funny.

If you want a better representation of how the game works overall, have a look at this:

So it has no space physics at all.

How is this a space game again?

    Plus... chicken forming planets :(

No it doesn't, but considering it's a pretty over the top alternate History, I think the soft science-fiction works instead of going with hard Sci-fi.
