    Hi there,

Recently I created an RPG themed (dark fantasy atmosphere) game for iOS. It's not a real RPG, just a (relatively) simple Match3 game. I liked a concept of Match3, but all games in this domain are about some bloody candy and sweets crushing.

    Here's the link to AppStore:
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/valhalla-match-3-might-and-magic-match-3-game/id1242297701?ls=1&mt=8

Do you think I just wasted my time doing it or there might some audience which could appreciate the concept? If you think it's a good direction to make people more into a proper RPG, what would you add? Any feedback really appreciated.

Ps. I'm new here. Please forgive me if you think it's some sort of self-promotion. I really would like to know if it's worth to continue effort in this direction. So far, the game, in terms of downloads isn't doing well, so I just wanted to know your opinion.

    Cheers,
    Rizn

This game is a novel answer to the question: what is an RPG?

Dear Hoaxmetal, yeah... easy to judge on seeing one screenshot, but if you cared to checkout the game or at least other screenshots, you'd know why there are mild scenes of horror themes.

The game was designed for a casual users, not hard-code RPG fans, who could possibly wish to discover "proper" RPG games later.

But I suppose I could expect the cynical tone by posting a thread on this forum. Maybe indeed there's no place for games like this one and I just wasted my time

Thanks ESh for your valuable opinion. You might be right that casual gamers do not care about theme of the game and the fact that RPG fans won't be looking for match3 game. We all learn on mistakes.

Initially I wanted to do something like Witcher, but then I realised it probably will be difficult to do by one person. On the other hand Pixel Dungeon was made by one developer, so there's some hope if RPG game is made for actual RPG fans.

    Cheers
