Until the mutants get spliced in, Far Cry is a pretty good shooter.

I thought the mutants spiced the game up a bit. That's why I never bothered with FC2, because you only shoot niggers in a boring setting.

Is FC3 gonna have mutants/aliens back btw?

So after claiming the whole thread about C2 being far superior to the C1 borefest you are now overjoyed to hear that C3 is returning to its roots with C1-like open levels? Just because they swear it'll look better on PC? Does not fempute :retarded:

Alot Smaller than C1, but there were alternate paths. The levels were of a surprisingly decent size. The COD comparison is cuntish hyperbole.

How about this: Crysis 2 had various types of levels - some of them were close to Crysis in spirit, but some of them were much closer to the pseudo-movie shooters today. The latter type of level had a significantly larger proportion in Crysis 2 than Crysis, and became more pervasive as Crysis 2 advanced.

So the CoD comparison may be hyperbole, but it's not without its grain - nah - a kilogram of truth.

Funny thing, they just got done talking about how awesome the console version will look:

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...-graphics-running-on-crysis-3-on-ps3-xbox-360

When did it become such a popular marketing move to say "the console versions look as good as the PC version, okay not really, but you probably can't tell the difference unless you have really low standards and don't do a side-by-side comparison"?

Would you rather want them to say "Console version is just a by-product, the PC's little ugly brother". Well, that mayb be true in the end, but it's not what you say prior you released the game to the largest audience.

Crysis guy will loose his suit somewhere before the final act and have to cover himself with mud and hide in shallow pools of water to avoid detection by the flying space squid ground forces.

    "Crysisguy... the war's over son..."

    "NOTHING IS OVER!"

Crysisguy will fire a machine gun at a police station, at the telephone wires, and at everything in the area, after a flashback as a POW. Then he'll break down and cry about how he lost all his friends in the war.

Then CIA Agent Dillon will talk him into undertaking a dangerous mission to look for a missing spec-ops team deep in the jungle, they find them all butchered, strung up and headless and they exact their revenge on a local militia only to find out it was an invisible flying-but-walking space squid soldier that wiped them out.

The squid soldier will then shoot Crysisguy to pieces. Crysisguy will then be put together from death by an executive of a megacorporation into half human half machine, merged together with his suit.

Squid soldier will then ask, "Bitches, leave", and blow up the executive's home.

.. and turns out that Crysisguy is a Crysisgal (picture here a Miranda in the Crysissuit). And that opens an endless romance options (squid dudes include).

    trailer = bsb

no actual new gameplay features are shown*, the "epic monologue" was retarded AND they fucking dared to use some generic sound @1:00

*I mean, if I were to judge just from the trailer gameplay footage I'd say this is just another popamole shovelware game

I love that the fact that Prophet apparently possesed and stole Alcatraz's body is cooly glossed over, and its just business as usual for our favorite demonic black guy.

Like some people I liked Farcry, then I liked Crysis, then I actually bought Warwhatever. They were all fun.

I could say, "the other day" but it was quite a few months ago when my brother was watching me go through the beginning of Crysis 2. He's a Mac guy and hasn't played a PC game since he got disolllutioned with Battlefield 2. It took him a few weeks.

So when a Mac guy is making quips about your lame game with all the fucking popups and 'hit D to ' walk backwards (yeah, I speant 10 minutes reconfigureing the keys, I know what they do)

Anyways, I made it through C2 about an hour each time. Twice. And that means going through the tutorial. Bored shitless.

To clarify, it sucked. Maybe it opens up later but I don't give a shit. I thought it was crap and my Mac brother thought it was shit.

When did Crysis 1 come out? What year was that? One of the last few half decent games that isn't really all that great. Then they go fuck it all up. Not suprised. Is it prettier in New York when you get a pop-up telling you how to open a chest later on?
