Dark Seed 2 ending (spoilers)

I've been feeling a bit foggy the last few days, so forgive me if I'm being a bit dense here, but is the ending implying that it was all in his head? I pretty much suspected this to be the case from about a quarter of the way through the game. Dawson shows all the symptoms of a paranoid schizophrenic, so it would make sense that none of it were real. The ending was quite ridiculous though, with the biker guy shapeshifting, making a nonsense speech, and then riding off in the dark world, it was almost like it was satirizing itself, after being relatively serious all the way through. And it seemed to leave more questions than answers. I don't know what to make of it really. Good game nevertheless, undoubtedly creepy.

I think what Dawson was sometimes possessed by biker guy. And I wonder what was role of Dawson's mother. I remember what he kills her, but not sure was it in the dark world or not, I don't really remember ending much.

If anybody still cares about the ending, the writer, according to those who have contacted him, made the ending intentionally vague because he was into Twin Peaks and the like at the time. He's not fond of it in retrospect, which tends to be how everyone remembers their involvement with Cyberdreams, 'cept Mike Dawson.
