To add some extra spice to the fight I'd suggest buying a disco ball, placing in next to the screen so that the lights bouncing off it hit you in the eyes quite regularly, and turning up the volume with any of these playing in the background........

lol at beating bosses with your co-op boyfriends. is this thread on resetera or codex?
how fucking bad you have to be at this games to need summons on ng? just imagine summoning for fights with Genichiro, Owl or Ape in Sekiro. You are literally robbing yourself of any fun these games have to offer:decline:

DS3 might be the worst game of the trilogy but it has the best overall package of bosses. Anyone who bitches about bloodborne-like gameplay and need to constant roll obviously havent played ds3 with greatshield+great magic shield combo. You are literally immovable wall:lol: Sister Friede cant do shit to you but get bent.

I always thought of using a great shield as making the game too easy. I never used one. Only medium shields and I was never good enough to parry regularly.

It's From's fault for putting that mechanic in.

DS2 is pretty bad in this respect. I avoided summoning NPCs precisely because i wanted to experience the bosses by myself, as it should be, but it seems by doing that i missed out on a lot of NPC characterizations. It was kind of jarring talking to NPCs as if we did something together where we didn't do anything. It feels i "missed out" on something even if it was just some brief character interaction.

Also, helping people is fun. I liked being a sun bro on both DS1 and DS2, but that requires people using summons to basically skip bosses, and you can't bitch about people doing that when it is an option, has a whole covenant dedicated to it with rewards, has NPCs you want to interact with, some very well liked, like Solaire, etc. On my last DS1 run i ended up doing bosses, get them to where i almost killed them and then suicide myself to bring Solaire in so i could get both experiences lmao. Wouldn't work on the new super hard bosses they have introduced in the later games though. Some of the bosses in the DS2 DLCs died on me in the middle of the fight as i was so focused on avoiding their stuff and keeping an eye on my stamina i couldn't afford to even peek at their health.

By not summoning NPCs, you don't miss out just on some brief interactions: you completely skip their quests, endings and item rewards included.

Right. So i have to decide whether i want to trivialize some of the content of the game for the sake of those perks and rewards. I find this idea bothersome.

Most of the time, to progress their quest, they also have to come out of the fight alive, so you can't even summon them and just watch them die.

However, quests rewards aren't that impressive (at least that I know of, I don't think I got all of them), so you won't miss out on anything that could change your playthrough.

If you really want to experience everything, you can use bonfire ascetics to fight NG+ versions of bosses and summon NPCs for those fights: you will get quests rewards/endings and you won't spoil your first boss encounter.

Yeah but then if i decide to play the game on NG+ those areas would be at NG++, which would make the game feel schizophrenic.

There's not much difference between NG+ ang NG+2. I would say there's no difference at all.

The big leap is from NG to NG+ (where enemies health and damage increases roughly by 40%), every subsequent advancement of NG level increases stats by less than 10%. If you decide to go through NG+, try a bonfire ascetic on a random boss and you won't see any difference.

It's not great but it's honest work :)

Level 69 build. Shredded like Abby.

Maybe I hit a sweet spot but almost everything dies in 2 hits.

Not only can you, if you've got some toxin curatives on hand, it's actually one of the more effective tactics in the game.

    For me hardest:

    1. Friede
    2. Aldrich
    3. Pontif
    4. Dancer
    5. Nameless King

And Friede is the hardest boss out of all Souls games to me. Though i don't consider Sekiro Souls game and never played it.

But yeah it highly depends on build and personal style and how you play. With heavy hammer above is true but with magic build Aldrich gets on top.

You will get soft ban if you play online with mods. Aka you will be playing only with cheaters and modders. If you delete your save and wait long enough i think there is a way to get back to proper pool. Personally i don't care so i got soft banned and i play with friends with Cinders overhaul.

DS1 and DS3 are similar to each other.
DS2 feels like a spinoff but it has more content than each of above.

    Sekiro's Bosses >>>> Dark Souls 3 Bosses.

It depends. Wex Dust is allowed. Watchdog mod is allowed.

I agree Friede is one of the hardest bosses in the series. But Sekiro's Isshin is still harder. My rank right now would be something like:

    1. Isshin
    2. Friede
    3. Orphan of Kos
    4. Manus
    5. O&S

    (ignoring DS2 because it's shit)
