Z Files. Mystery vehicles found abandoned on US Hardcore 2.

A survivor reported seeing 2 cars and 2 ATVs in Lopatino all in non-usable condition, the ATVs are even missing wheels. After failing to start up a car, the survivor took this picture while hiding in a shed because he is afraid of "snipers".

 

Now I know what to do with this toolkit I've been hauling around with me. Oh, wait, I don't have it anymore. We were playing with Menckinstein and having a good time (or at least I was, I always have a good time) when a sniper got me. Took him two shots I think, killing my Day 6 character. I've only ever had one previous char that lasted that long. Menck got it next but our buddy survived and even recovered our stolen land rover. That land rover is really awesome, it's my favourite vehicle so far. I'm wondering what the UAZ will be like compared to it.

I take that back. I finally found two tents at once and dumped the extra toolbox. Finally.

 

I've actually been looking for a tent for almost a week now. Since I died the other day I suspect most of ours are going to disappear any time now. I can trade but not sure what you're interested in. I think we have a few sniper rifles, a DMR, M27 (or something, I'm not a big gun guy) an SVD camo. Probably more. PM me or hit the codex vent. I'll probably be on early (NA time) tomorrow morning.

 

Trade for tent? I don't really need anything else but if I find more tents, I'll take them and let you know and we'll arrange something.

Holy shit I've gotten back into the game and the beginning is really unforgiving. Apart from the fact that I have no clue whatsoever how to handle the new zombies, I didn't expect the starting inventory to be so barebones. Elektro basically looks like a WWI frontline with barbed wire everywhere and dudes are running around with hatchets messing shit up. Every time I try using it I end up blindly swinging it around as I can't gauge the distance or point of impact for shit. Some dude broke my legs on the office building, I was hoping to get some morphine off his corpse, but of course it vanished in a couple of seconds before I could crawl up to it. I eventually got swamped by some other dudes zombies in a corner somewhere.

I hate to say it, but I really think that if this game is ever to truly reach release status I think it needs to be developed on a proprietary engine. The shitload of bugs, glitches and general sloppiness of Arma 2 is not something that can be done away with I think.

 

^ Dayz on ARMA 3 maybe good, but then OFP was more about 10 years ago and ARMA 2 is still sloppy.

 

Creamy and I did a supply run yesterday and some fucking lunatic tried to crawl up on us while we were chilling in the woods near a deer stand. I saw him from a distance and thought he was a crawler, then after two seconds I'm like "the fuck is a crawling doing there?" turned back to get a good look and saw him switching weapons (pulling out primary, turned out to be an AKS) so I shot him from about 10 meters with the DMR.

I guess he had thrown a grenade at us (Creamy and I still aren't sure what happened) because Creamy got knocked out and I was briefly stunned by an explosion. We thought it was an ambush so I booked it the hell out of there and tried to lure my (apparently) non-existent pursuer into the open where I'd have the long range advantage but nothing happened. It was very reminiscent of the previous day's assfucking so my adrenaline was through the roof, especially since that guy had gotten so close to us without being noticed and we thought there might be more.

Good times.

 

I just think that mics are gay. And I bought the entire ArmA Anniversary package with both games and all the addons at one of those discounts, about half that price, possibly less. Mics are still gay, regardless of price.

And I'm uncomfortable about being gay around Codexers. You never know when the balls might touch.

 

Rocket said that's the dream. He intends to make that happen once he nails down all the design elements and balancing on this public test platform.

 

Is your Aniversary edition steam or non-steam? Some people with ArmA X have been getting a "wrong server version error", myself included.

EDIT: Scratch that, I just needed to update the OA beta patch.

 

And here I thought I was sly as fuck after bying Combined Operations from Amazon for 15$ by changing my billing adress. It's a shame I didn't know about the package otherwise I wouldn't have splurged on the DLC later on.

Let me tell you a story that happened a long time ago.
I was in Elektro running around purposely letting all the zombies chase me lolololzing.
From global chat I know group of survivors are in Elek and I ran around trying to bring the zombies to them.
After a while I realise I had only 3 zombies chasing me, cries of "help I'm stuck on top of the hospital with a horde of zombies under me." appeared on chat.
All the survivors in Elek (including me) volunteered to rescue them. I said that I have little ammo and can only lure them away from the hospital. Another survivor told me to bring the zombies to the church as he has grenades.
On the way to the hospital I ran into another survivor and we managed to lure the zombies to the church where the other survivor was waiting. 3 of us gunned down the zombies and grenades were thrown, accidentally killing the other survivor. We then returned to the hospital and met other survivors who slaughtered the remaining zombies and rescued the guy on the roof.
All this while bandits (there were bandits skins then) were going "WE ARE COMING TO ELEK TO KILL U LOLOLOLZ!" on global.
Zombies kept respawning and I was chased up the the office building, the other survivors warned me that most of the zombies are chasing me into the building and I climb down from the 2nd (or is it 3rd) floor, evading the zombies and ran out of Elek away from the supposedly incoming bandits.
The funny thing is that after all the chaos and coorporation, the group of survivors went their separate ways fleeing from the bandits.
Also I told them I was the one who lured the zombies to them and they didn't mind. I did warn them before hand that I'm going to run around Elek leading a horde of zombies. :/

Is there anything special I need to know about mics? Can I go out and get the cheapest one I see?
