I've watched the first 1 hr in a silent LP. Is this getting any better because it looks like total shit so far?
I tried watching 2 different playthrough streams and I fell asleep within 1 hour of both. But playing it is actually quite entertaining. Played it for 6 hours straight yesterday. Worst vehicle physics ever though.

Yes, trying to navigate any rocky terrain with that electric postal truck is highly inadvisable.
It's not that. I should've said controls instead. The deadzone on left stick is 0 which means if you want to make a slight adjustment to the direction of the vehicle it has to be a really light touch on the stick which is clunky as fuck. Another thing is that there's no camera auto adjust when in a vehicle which bothers me.

Oh. I didn't really have any problems, but I mainly use the bikes. By using wheelies and turbo you can make it up rocks pretty decent in those too.

Okay, its tinfoil hat time.

Considering

1. How extremely similar the game's environments are to Iceland (I've been to Iceland twice myself, it looks exactly like this game's environments)
2. How dissimilar the environments look to the United States
3. The very prominent use of Icelandic music in the game
and
4. The stranded whale theme

I have a strong suspicion that the game was originally going to be set in Iceland, but then Trump won the election and Hideo Kojima got the brilliant idea that instead of making an anti-Trump twitter post like a normal person he would instead make his entire game into a "fuck Trump" game. Those Icelandic environments? They're America now. Why does America look like Iceland? Because magical timeskipping rain or something. And the main theme of the game will be about building bridges, because building bridges is the opposite of building walls. Wow such deep. And the game will about a man named (Uncle) Sam Bridges who traverses America trying to rebuild and reconnect an America that has been fractured by the recent presidental election, uhhm, I mean some sort of apocalyptic event. In other words: a man trying to make America great again by building bridges, instead of building walls.

Don't believe me? The first time actual gameplay was shown of from the game back at Tokyo Game Show this year this is what Sam looked like

Does that red cap remind you of anything? Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I rest my case.

It looks like Iceland because millions of people blew up.

Why is Lea Seydoux so much uglier in the game than irl? :decline:

And the main theme of the game will be about building bridges, because building bridges is the opposite of building walls. Wow such deep.

What's hilarious is that, throughout history, it was the building of bridges that was considered aggressive and dangerous. Bridges let armies cross difficult terrain quickly, whilst walls were symbols of peace and prosperity.

Her hair. Plus the old lady body.
Her body is covered in the game though, so yeah probably just the hair and lack of eyeliner. Still major decline from kojimbob, though. His team had all that fancy 3d tech to make all the necessary touch-ups, and didn't use it :?

Imagine him wanting her to look like she looks in the game and now like your sexual fantasy about her.

When it comes to PC the mods will be great.

Put walls up to keep Porters out of your Shelters.

Maybe he got scared after MGS V.
Considering that he hired an actress who became famous because of her role in what is basically a lesbian porn movie masquerading as a French art movie to play a character named Fragile who gets forecefully licked in the face by the antagonist I'd say no.

Edit: I honestly think that he wanted to put more titties in the game, but Sony told him no. https://www.businessinsider.com/sony-metoo-censorship-playstation-games-2019-4?r=US&IR=T

Ahhh don't see the connection, but i do see some very shitty writing. It is obvious that the writer didn't knew english very well....and was too arrogant to have a corrector.

This might be surprising but... Hideo Kojima doesn't write his games in English.

Kojima was pissed when he found out the English translator of the first MGS took liberties instead of translating word for word and had it redone for the special edition and Twin Snakes.

How does the game lack direction? It goes one fucking direction.
Also, Sterling said the game had nine songs. I have a shitload more leading me to think he didn't even play the game.
Did these morons just do standard deliveries the whole game?

So I just finished the game and it turns out it's just cucked Kojima speaking out about the importance of globalism. I bet he made his hollywood merchant guild happy.

Also, the only real villain (Higgs) turned out to be a waste of everyones time. No character, no purpose, no meaning, no goals, but the game made the fight look like there's something deep going on and we should feel some kind of connection.

Let me guess - the part of the movie which is not a movie consists of repetitive activities to provide time padding until the next movie?

In what way? In the end the main protagonist throws it all away, he just says no to it all.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
So since everyone talks about this thing as being a super artsy game that proves games can be art, do you:
- get to make story choices that influence the outcome?
- get to define your character's attitude by making dialogue choices?

Or is it just another of these games that pretend to be movies and feed their story to you as cutscenes, therefore not being an "art game" because there's not enough game to the art?
