Really painful to hear that, of course.
BUt hell - strategy department is still intact. I have high hopes for SC2.
    So, everything's cool.

Blizzard North is Diablo, purely. Now that it's gone, no Diablo3, definately. That's a huge shame, but oh well...

Still, Blizzard is one of my most favorite developers. Vivndi spoils the picutre, but still the team is there, albeit without North-department.

Probably World of Diablo with whatever art assets they might have made, or Starcraft 2 - since the people who made that game are still there. They might still do Diablo 3 from scratch but it just wouldn't be the same.

They had BFME's lead designer on it. That game sucked serious ass and he knows nothing about RPGs.

    World of Diablo?
Sounds like a game set in hell, where you'll play demons and all.
Oh, I'd play that one if it'll leave me w/o my pants, heh. :)

Actually, Diablo III has a lot of sense in it, story-wise.
The Worldstone is destroyed, the world boundaries are gone, now all three worlds - High Havens, Hell and Sanctuary - actually flow in one another, being as one.
This leads to lots of options, both gameplay and story-wise.
For instance, there could be an option to choose demonic or angelic heroes, or stick with mortals (since now they've grown powerful).
Damn, i've always wanted to play the Tyrael-like character! Fucking best angelic design i've ever seen.

    That would be great.
And here I have no doubts whatsoever, cuz they already said, in SC:G FAQ, that there WILL be StarCraft 2.
Umm..... I WANT IT SO MUCH!!!! I hope it retains the style and the rhythm of the original...
