Pleasantly surprised with it so far, only done the first handful of events. Rather derp free and put a smile on my face.

To think I wasn't even gonna try it after the agony of dirt 2.

Thanks for the trustworthy info :salute:

So after playing some more I actually think Dirt 2 is superior in track design - which is like one of the most important things in this kind of games - and thus if we'll leave out all the retarded american derp can be a superior game too.

Basically while I like Dirt3's snow and rain tracks look way too generic and bland.

Compare what we have in Dirt 3 to magnificent backgrounds and environments of China, Hungary or Morocco from Dirt 2.

They aren't as good by far.

Hey Skyway. Why are you all like "blah blah blah Codexers like arcade shooters blah blah blah ArmA is the best blah blah blah consoletarded games are consoletarded blah blah blah" while at the same time praising arcade racers? We all know that you are the biggest hypocrite on the site, but why are you actively doing your best to support that view?

I like arcade shooters. I love Max Payne and I love UT.
And I like arcade racers. From first few NFS'es to Dirt series.

    Did I ever claim otherwise?

I don't like dumbed down console shooters which Codexers treat as awesome games (and especially RPGs) while pretending to be all hardcore while people playing exactly same games as they are are "dumb consoletards"

So what am I hypocritical about?

Don't worry about it. 99.9% a false positive. DL from a decent private tracker if you really are worried as from public trackers there actually is a chance of infection.

Racing sims are my other passion. I have a full racing rig with triple screen, Fanatec wheel / pedeals/ shifter etc. I much prefer true simulators than arcade games like Dirt, though they can be pretty fun as well.

iRacing is easily the best simulated racing experience available these days - made by the Nascar 2003 / GPL guys. Racing is online only however, with single player testing / practice. It can get rather expensive as well with sub fees and having to actually buy the individual cars and tracks (apart from what's included in the beginer's package). Totally worth it though if you love racing sims.

BTW, Simbin keep releasing the same thing because there so damn good at it, their sims are excellent as well. rFactor is getting a bit long in the tooth and is the same engine that SimBin uses (developed by rFactor), but rFactor 2 is on the way and I'm really looking forward to it. The other sim worth checking out is LFS (Live for Speed), very nice.

F1 2010, now updated and tweaked with some nice mods, is a pretty damn good F1 racing sim.

Not much on the Rally scene recently unfortunately. RBR still holds up pretty well, especially with mods and user created tweaks.

Dirt 3, while not a true sim, is still a pretty damn fun arcade rally game. What I've tried so far anyway, and it looks fucking gorgeous.
