Why the hell do I gotta be ladylike if it compromises my dignity? He shouted at me first over nothing. If he asked me nicely to follow the rules of the game, I wouldn't mind it so much.

If you are angry then you wait until you are alone in the bathroom and cry all you want, or troll people online under a pseudonym, or play ultraviolent videogames when no one's looking, but when you are in public you are always perfect, beautiful, graceful, and non confrontational. Girls aren't allowed to be confrontational other than passively or indirectly: You do not go and tell him "Fuck you!", you act in such a way everyone else is thinking "Fuck him! Poor girl, so nice and proper."

If a girl wants to be treated like a girl she must begin by acting like a girl, which is something the hysterical tomboys that are so common today seem to have forgotten. And then they wonder why they aren't popular and why no one is a gentleman to them. *shrug*

I was not there to guide poor Elodie and look what happened to her.

"Hey, can you lend me your penknife?"

"No. You'll just end up not returning it. Just like the previous times you borrowed my stuff."

"Oh c'mon! Gimme!!"

A familiar looking hand grip the penknife tight. I know what happens next. The thumb pushes on the blade...inching it out slightly. Then... a scream.

"AAAHHH! MY EYE! OWWW YOU HIT MY EYE!"

I awake with a start. Where- what- Oh, that's right. I'm not in that school anymore. I'm in the Iris Academy.

Mmm. Strange. Why did I remember it?

That wasn't a very unpleasant memory either. There's pain, yet happiness. I smiled inwardly. I did the right thing.
I stretched and get up. Guess it's past noon on Saturday. I did not go to the mall after all. Might as well use the time to revise what I've studied this week.



Sunday comes.
After breakfast, I sit down to figure out what to write to my parents. I guess I could tell them about the teachers here, but I don't want to sound like I'm complaining too much about Grabiner. I can tell them about the Initiation, I suppose. I'm sure they'll be proud of me for refusing to take part in a bullying ritual.

I guess I should tell them about my bedroom and the food here, things like that, so they don't worry about me. They'll want to know that I got enough sleep and I remember to brush my teeth. And my roommates, I should write about them. We've been so busy, we don't know each other all that well yet, but they're both good people. I think.

As for magic, well, I've learned a few things but I haven't really done much proper magic yet. Just classroom exercises. So I'll wait a while before I tell them much more about that. I signed it with love and fold it neatly into the envelope. Mail doesn't go out on Sundays, so I don't seal it yet. I can get a stamp from the on-campus post office tomorrow.

...This doesn't sound convincing at all. But I think I can spare the time on weekdays to participate, since there's nothing else to do in this school anyway.

Whatever, Sukeban Cho, the only true there is Heironimous "Grubby" Lonewolf; why should a lady spend any time on blueskinned winged emo dickhead when there is a galant professor with dramatic past to farm weird points? Pfeh.

It strikes me that having some healing spells is probably going to be useful at some point, if only to torture that blue-skinned prick by stabbing him in the face, healing him, and then stabbing him some more. So it would probably be wise to study green magic a bit.

We're kinda comitted to blue/black though. Amd Magic: The Gathering teaches us that most decks shouldn't focus on more than 2 colours.

 

While focusing on Blue sounds good to me, I think we should study all the other kinds of magic at least a bit.

Come to think of it, maybe there are "hybrid" spells, requiring sufficient mastery of more than one kind of magic ?

How about a Yandere instead ?

Replace this with more Blue magic if you don't need to go to the Gym for sportin' events.

 

This one is easier to beat with like 30ies in all schools, but blue is particularly jack of all trades as it can solve most dungeons alone

Wednesday, it's off to the gym.
I was wrong, the registration takes place AFTER the classes are over. Eh, whatever, I don't want to be late for classes, so might as well skip a class and spend some time getting fit.

Strong increased by 1. Stress increased by 1.

After lunch break, I return to the gym to see a haphazard collection of booths and tables, and clouds of underclassmen swirling around them.



Ellen's already here, standing by the wall looking around before joining the throng. Poor girl.

Virginia grabs us both and drags us over to her station.
