I totally forgot about that. Thanks for noticing. I'll pick from the remaining nations.

Johannes, 'k, your arguments are solid. I'll fix this quick. But hey

I never called him an idiot. On the opposite, I liked the map a lot (that's why I give it an effort in the first place). He stated that players should redifine the starts manually before playing, but it was in the description of the map script that I don't usually read, until get to the script myself.

    I guess raw is Niefelheim?

    I'm going with Helheim naturally.

Some border changes were made. Proposed by Johannes in this post. Can't say I disagree with them, so here goes.

    Show Spoiler

    1. Added access to north-western peninsula from underwater. Could lead to uncomfy neighborhood, but I guess that is to be expected.

    2. Another province was made coastal to compensate my previous changes. One mountain range was removed for the same reason.

    3. Previously impassable mountain range now has three connections: one solid (1), and two temperature-dependent (2 and 3). Still, two nations living on separate sides of mt. range can't reach each other's capitals without passing at least 4 provinces.

    Almost finished, honestly. Coming soon.

Meanwhile you can, I don't know, hone your skills, balance your Pretenders, and what not.

I never played Xibalba before. So you are not alone in your struggles.

Guys, can you help a noob out? It's been some time since I last used map editor, but I'm pretty sure this wasn't there before (or maybe it's my sclerosis again):

So, what are those gray borders? I'm not going to add them or anything, just curious. Can't find them in reference docs.

I recall that being a connection that you can't ever conventionally move through, so it counts only for checking spell ranges, and movement for guys with Teleporter like Siddha. Maybe you can fly through it too, dunno. This is totally unconfirmed, not sure where I read of it.

I wonder if they work for dominion spread? That could open a whole lot of opportunities for non-standard scenario maps. Gotta put them to testing once I'm done. Thanks.

    [IMG] FUCKING DONE!

Well, almost. I finished the whole thing and done some testing - it seems fine to me. Before I upload it to llama, there are just a couple of finishers left to do:

    1. One more slow-ass test. To double check that I (or Dom map editor) didn't mess up any single border.
    2. Would be great if any oldfag checked my script and confirmed that I haven't done anything funny to it. Just so the other players won't have any doubts.
    3. So, err. Can somebody recommend me a good file hoster, so I can share the whole thing? I only used russian ones before.

If somebody's willing to help me out with testing.
    1. Follow this link:
    http://rghost.ru/60266324
    2. Press the big black СКАЧАТЬ button, so the download starts.
    3. Unpack the .rar archive into your user maps directory. To find it:
    - Start the game
    - "Game tools"
    - "Open User Data Directory"
    - There you'll find "maps" folder - unpack the whole thing there
    4. The map is called "Shaluda Codex Edition"

If you find any border/province feature/other mistakes - post them here or in my inbox.

And ultimately, some things to know:
    1. You may find a funny-looking/out-of-place pixel here and there. Original map had a lot of them. It's still looking great, so don't be a graphic whore.
    2. I know that black province names aren't exaclty readable at some places, but I can only choose between black and white. White names look even worse with that colour pallete.
    3. All province names are changed. Sorry, I had to recreate the whole map (editor can be a bitch when you add/delete provinces). But hey, it's not like they were custom-made in original - those were Dominions engine names too. Basically, one set of default names is changed into another. Hoverdog's Codex-themed names are there, as well.
    4. I added a bunch of minor features (3 "small" provinces, several "large" provinces, access to "fresh water" in provinces with lakes and rivers). They shouldn't bother you much.
    5. Provinces with stonehenge-thingie have increased mag. site generation chances - I left them all as they were in original. They do not guarantee more magic sites than usual. In fact, they do not guarantee magic sites at all. Just more favorable random.

Aaand, that's that. Just please, don't use the map in pbem yet. It would be very frustrating if I missed a border or two - can't fix that kind of thing during the game session.

Pick of the century. Wait a sec, why Muty got terrible, terrible Yomi with sweet, sweet Berytos free in his roster?

I love that everyone bar me hates UW. Well, EA UW bar Atlantis is shit, and even Atlantis is kinda bad. With UW mod *almost* playable, tough.

Congrats with the map! Yet, I cannot force myself to click any link that ends in .ru. Some kind of biological or psychological block, I fear.

    Mediafire? DropBox?

Berekan showed me the degenerate pomf.se in the last match: maybe it can work for ya.

    Yeah. He got my leftovers.

But what's so terrible about Yomi?
Strong units with two lives (that need to be killed twice in order to actually be defeated), really strong SC capable units, focused & strong mages, Turmoil+Luck with extra benefits, almost complete army is recruit everywhere...

    What's not to like?

    1. chaos power is great in turmoil but in order its -3 to relevant stats, guess where you will be fighting most of the time...
    2. troops are expensive on a turmoil nation,
    3. troops dont get good armor or helmets,
    4. all the good troops can be banished,
    5. super weak research, not that great mages.

That god forsaken map editor will give me another PTSD one of these days.

Right. Now the map seems golden to me.

Only one problem, I notice a severe lack of dongs on it. Something must be done.
