Balance wise 6.88 gotta to be the "work" patch. Less than 10% of the total pool of hero is garbage. And if it doesn't work most of the time it means you need to get good noob.

I have an all-nighter once a week with my RL feeder friends. Dota has the distinct problem of only being fun when you win.

Problem with that stun indicator isn't that it makes things easy... Problem is that it's ugly and unnecessary.
Showing the spawn boxes of jungle camps on the other hand was a good idea.

SCIENTISTS BAFFLED

 

Finally got out of low prio from abandoning and decided to change my steam name to:

Пицца Монстр

and communicate in Russian and Broken English for a few games. We won most of the games but everyone was super hostile towards me!

Apparently I was reported a lot which put me in low prio so I uninstalled. Dota community is no fun.

 

Been watching NP game these past few days. They are actually really good. They play standard safe to lateagme kind of thing with pretty limited draft but they keep winning.

What an entertaining series. Wings is unstoppable. They understand dota on a level far beyond anyone else right now. No gimmicks like ti3 alliance, or star player like EG or OG, just S tier in every single category.

They made one disastrous mistake when shadow jugg bought mjolnir after death instead of buy backing when envy was soloing the top rax in game 1, but coming back from a 20,000 gold deficit is insane.

NP played really well. Of all the western teams, they were the closest to winning, but they're only human.

You mean VP. Didn't expect much out of them (haven't played and watched dota in a while), but I like their picks and their plays. CIS dota that doesn't go full retard in mid-late game is nearly unbeatable.

 

Winter has arrived.

More importantly, 20 minutes into VP v Newbee and weaver already does 300 dmg per attack after Drow aura. Great job, Icefrog.

 

That's more of an issue with VP's draft flexibility, than balance. Besides, newbee should know better than pick 3 melees + disruptor vs an essentially 5 ranged lineup (with drow). They also bant venge before weaver was even picked.

 

Watching VP today feels like watching a Wings game but with CIS team.

And Wings lose to unknown SEA team. Maybe people have just over analyzed Wing that they play isn't as effective.

 

Wings vs eastern teams and Wings vs western teams are so different it's pretty much a meme now. They can go from winning TI6 to struggling to beat tier 3 youth teams and back again pretty easily

 

COL just dismantled EG twice in a row. The last match of set 2 was incredibly dominant. CoL is playing very well, but I think that they're doing so good against EG because they've prepared and discovered how to disrupt their style.

They still lost hard vs LGD, kind of expected from a team with a lot less international lan experience.


My predictions for day 3

EG vs Wings (50-50 toss-up but EG just looked so tilted today and Wings is getting in their groove.)
LGD vs LGD.FY (4-0 vs 0-4 and two standins. pretty easy bet.)
coL vs WG.Unity (I feel like WGU might pull an upset here. CoL hasn't encountered WGU yet, and I don't think they'll shine as hard as they did today without prep time. WGU is capable of beating Wings in a series, so knocking out CoL isn't a far out prediction)
DC vs Faceless (Love ^Black, but this is a no-brainer)
AF vs Newbee (Newbee seems more consistent than AF.)
EHOME vs NP (No matter who wins, scientists will be baffled.)
VP vs iG.V (VP is unstoppable)
OG vs MVP (MVP playing quite poorly without MP these last few months.)

Well the second game was pretty hype. Good effort from IG.

 

I didn't watch them in the group stage, but I should have listened when people said Wings weren't as strong as they used to be.

2/3 predictions correct so far. CoL vs WGU was exactly as I expected it would be.

 

they played almost perfectly but it wasn't really enough because of the clowny drafts. any hero other than lycan and it would have been much more even.

 

Is there a character that could even possibly EVEN TOUCH Madara Uchiha? Let alone defeat him. And I’m not talking about Edo Tensei Uchiha Madara. I’m not talking about Gedou Rinne Tensei Uchiha Madara either. Hell, I’m not even talking about Juubi Jinchuuriki Gedou Rinne Tensei Uchiha Madara with the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and Rinnegan doujutsus (with the rikodou abilities and being capable of both Amateratsu and Tsukuyomi genjutsu), equipped with his Gunbai, a perfect Susano’o, control of the juubi and Gedou Mazou, with Hashirama Senju’s DNA implanted in him so he has mokuton kekkei genkai and can perform yin yang release ninjutsu while being an expert in kenjutsu and taijutsu

that was one of the most dominant morphling performances I have ever seen. jumping in 1v4 and coming out with two kills... twice

And yeah AF is surprisingly good though. Fuck all my prediction with Wings and Newbee gone. I just hope NP went to the final.

EG crushes VP. Well to be fair VP 2nd game was really respectable, especially against that EG early leads with the farm and all.
