Capcom Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

So ... I'm starting the game ... I bought a bunch of armor at the first shop, my gold is definitely gone, I made sure my vocation could equip it, but I can't find it anywhere in my inventory. What gives?

 

Did you access the main inventory through the start (or whatever) menu? Quick inventory (on the PS3 that was select) doesn't show everything, I think.

 

Which one? There are actually two. Inventory with consumables and equipment with armour and weapons.

 

How necessary/useful is crafting? I've only played a bit so far but the inventory is already a clusterfuck.

 

I went to the Equipment section of the main menu by pressing Start. Later I also found the Select menu. Neither one has my stuff.

 

Dump everything in storage and craft from there. You'll notice a few nice things like how to make the "heal everyone in the party a shitload" potions and be able to pick up stuff specifically to make them during a dungeon crawl or something.

As far as the more elaborate weapon enhancing I have no idea because I can't find new weapons. Stuck on broadsword.

Inventory stuff really is a console disaster tho

 

If you are a woman, place your hands behind back, and apply handcuffs. Then make photos and post them here. Then you can think if picking everything is a bright idea.

I made review for the PC port of The Quest and sent a week ago and I have not received anything about it, let alone beign posted. Perhaps the game is too low brow for Codexian tastes?

 

There's a difference between "accepting submissions" and "we will automatically post anything sent by anyone no matter what". And a week isn't a long time for a committee to examine your work. Hold your damn water.

 

Well I'm trying to use that stupid save converter and I have absolutely no idea how it works, and from the looks of it getting back to level 81 the old fashioned way would be quicker than trying to do all of this.

which locked me in. So I've done all the surrounding areas and levelled up a lot... but it was boring as fuck as nobody is willing to speak to you outside quests.

Oh well, at least the fight was trivially easy with skyward slash+ unlocked.

 

what happened to him (link?)? i haven't been to gd in a looong time so i'm not up to date on my codex lore?

anyway, the game runs smooth as balls and looks noticeably better on the PC. definitely don't regret buying it a 3rd time

btw, for you guys hoarding stuff in the inventory: be careful, as there's some stuff that can go bad (like meat) if you leave it in the inventory for a long time (iirc, keeping those in the storage is okay, and if you want to carry them around there's some "tupperware" containers that can keep the freshness indefinitely)

and about following the MQ: be also careful about that, as there are quests that are "locked" for certain stages of the MQ, so if you go too far you won't be able to pick them up/finish them (i.e. finish all your sidequests before progressing with the MQ, leave the completionist spoilers for the 2nd playthrough )

Oooooh. Keep digging! This game was originally meant to be three times larger. Who knows what this could mean for a possible sequel?

I just began the game, bought a $300 armor and it just disappeared before I could equip it. Sad stuff

 

It's a shame Capcom decided a fucking F2P MMO was the next step.

 

And a mobile game being the second.
