    Folks at <a href=http://siege.rpgdot.com>Siege Dot</a> have put together (or updated as I don't really follow DS-related news closely) a <a href=http://siege.rpgdot.com/index.php?hsaction=10053&ID=887>fact sheet</a> containing all known info on <b>Dungeon Siege 2</b>. It's clear that not much is known at that point but here is something for your amusement:

    I started playing it few days ago, and its not all that bad as it seems.
    Im up to Chapter 3 now, i have 4 chars and 2 mules with me. The whole game is all about ambushes, and player responding to them. Brute force, archery, using mages as offensive or defensive chars really makes a difference in tactics cause just running straight ahead and fighting like an idiot would get my chars killed very quickly. Pathfinding is also almost perfect.

    One thing I found really wierd is no loading in game levels, I get the feeling that this dungeon romp will never end. Game is freaking huge.

    One thing I would like in this game is more combat variety, like different attacks with swords and bows and more interactive levels. If Im gonna fight for 2 hours in a dungeon atleast make it a bit more useful than just spawning 20 guys at each corner.More traps, secret levels and the like.

    For a dungeon romp, not to bad, easy to play and control, didnt need to pause the game yet.

    There's two parts I really enjoy in a dungeon crawler, character advancement and the tactical combat. Both of these things is done for you in Dungeon Siege. Put a weapon in the hand of a character and they automatically become whatever that is and get better at it - no involvement at all from me beyond that. Combat is just moving your guys near the enemies. I got bored during the demo, so I doubt I'd make it anywhere in the actual game itself.

    DS was like a prototype of everything a loathe in a crpg. They must have conducted interviews with me under hypnosis or something to get my exact opinions. Scary.

    Anyway. Hearing someone mention "learning curve" and "complex" in the same breath as DS is more hilarious than watching Bagdad Bob.
