Remember the old game, Dungeon Master? Well, there's a guy named Steve Bovis that's working on a remake type deal of it called Dungeon Master 3D. There's really not too much on the site, with the exception of a long bit of the background story, but there are six screenshots of the project. However, since the site is on Geocities which has that bandwidth cap, I decided to refresh for several days until I managed to grab all the shots to put in a local gallery on this site.

I have fond memories of the original game, with the exception of the timing puzzle on the 13th level which was impossible on an Amiga 3000.

That's why ya shoulda played it on an Apple II. (I can't even remember if I played it when we had the IIe or the IIgs.)

I'll totally pick this up if he finishes it. Dungeon Master was great fun.

All right. I don't mind seeing a remake of this one, but personally I'd prefer Sundog or Alternate Reality. Especially Sundog seems interesting, since one of the original programmers beeing involved. Sadly enough not much seems to have been made in some time now. And remakes of the Ultimas seems also quite stale. :(
What's next? Dungeon Hack, hmm?

In the mean time, there's Dungeon Master Java and Return to Chaos, both are excellent clones of Dungeon Master. The second one includes the original dungeon and the dungeon from Chaos Strikes Back as well as a new dungeon.

Well, ExUlt is very nice. I'd recommend it to anyone.
