Per the official Dungeon Siege 2 site, the release of the game is no longer holidays 2004, but now Spring 2005.

So, three months more wait to see how the interactivity has improved. So far, the changes don't sound that bad, but I'm still waiting on a demo.

Hopefully the graphics will have improved for DX9 and Pixelshader 2.0 effects. It'd be pretty pathetic if it didn't have those features.

The only hope for Dungeon Siege 2 is in the graphics. It hasn't got anything else...

I'd rather they stick with the same engine and add gameplay this time around.

Isn't that what they're doing - sort of? They're updating the graphics but otherwise overhauling stuff they already had. At least from what I gathered.

Lies. I tell you. Just Lies.

(I'll wait for the demo before passing final judgement)

It'd be nice if the graphics weren't god damn edgy (and I mean this in polygonal terms) though. Just a simple implementation of that nice blur post processing effect from Prince of Persia SOT would do it.

Have you tried forcing AA/AF from your video card to smooth the edges/images?

I would try it on the demo, but installing DS again will just make me feel dirty.
