    <A href="http://www.gaspowered.com/">Gas Powered Games</a> has <A href="http://garage.gaspowered.com/?q=node/1607">released some details</A> about a fun patch they're working on for <A href="http://www.gaspowered.com/ds2">Dungeon Siege 2</a>. Here's a few, but not all, of the details:
    <br>
    <blockquote><b>Multiplayer</b>
    <br>
    - modification so client will always query games at a public ip address, regardless of what the host reports (for routers that are passing on PC's private ip address).
    <br>
    - remove need for adding dpnsvr command line entry for some routers.
    <br>
    <br>
    <b>Savegame</b>
    <br>
    Retain last 5 backups of savegame, in addition to current savegame. New backup format will not be .bak, so 3rd-party cleanup utilities do not delete them.
    <br>
    <br>
    <b>Modding Support</b>
    <br>
    A number of changes to file structuring and data handling to better integrate future mod resources and tools.</blockquote>
    <br>
    Welp, not of that is too interesting to comment on.

    I've seen a few mentioned across different boards also.

    Reading the release, it looks like they are fixing some.

    Yeah, I played it and from what I heard it wasn't buggy whatsoever. :roll:

    It was just a question of whether the patch addressed the bugs or not.

    No need to be silly, now.

    Its a pretty buggy game but the gamestopping bugs (scripts failing, etc) only affect some people. If you look on the boards you can see long lists of minor bugs which affect sidequests, npc avaliability, skill balance, etc. Heres a short list of the game stopping bugs: http://garage.gaspowered.com/?q=node/1607 .

    I have run into two gamestopping bugs thus far. Luckily, the game keeps a back up of the second to last save (same name/directory as your regular save just with a .bak extension). I had to make up a couple hours time each time but at least I didnt need to start over. Unfortunately, if you save twice after a major script fails or whatever, you are screwed.
