Dynamic party composition question

How exactly does this feature work?Dynamic party composition:
  • PC/NPC ratio is now flexible
  • Added ability to temporarily leave PCs at the Hommlet Inn and re-add them later with all stats and equipment intact. (with Co8 only)
Can you only remove party members at the hommlet inn? If you leave them there how long do they stay there? How do you readd them?

Also would it be possible to make the nulb house a base you could tell npcs and pcs to go wait for you?

Yes, indefinitely, talk to them.

It's possible via modding (scripting), if anyone wants to have a go I'll assist.

If you tell the Hommlet innkeeper you're having a PC stay long-term at the inn, you must go upstairs after the dialog for it to work.

Re: the "PC/NPC ratio is now flexible" part. Does this mean I can go beyond the 3 PCs / 5 NPCs option provided by CO8? For example, can I have 1 PC and 7 NPCs?

I've tried recruiting Fruella with a 1 PC / 5 NPCs party and she refuses to join, saying I have too many hangers on.

No, 5 npcs max still holds. IIRC it was something in the logbook system that caused problems.
