HELLO. I found you can play Wii games decently on PC with this emulator http://www.dolphin-emu.com/. What games do you recommend? I don't care about the genre.
    thanks

I finished The new super mario bros on dolphin. Depending on ur control setup it can be slightly annoying. Although I did like 1/3 with the keyboard so it wasnt that bad.

Resident Evil Zero is a p. fun game also.. I didn't get very far but its ok.

all in all Wii has a terrible selection of games. I feel sorry for the fags that actually bought the fucking thing.

I dunno, the captions are quasi-humorous and he put a lot of work into the shots. It's a lot better than "HEY CHECK OUT MY PLANTBLOG!"

PC gaming has gotten so shit awful that I've turned to newer emulators too. So much stuff for Playstation 2 worth playing that run very well now on PCSX2.

Kinda wanted to play Little King's Story, but I've heard the emulator still doesn't do that game too well.

Is Eternal Darkness playable with Dolphin yet? As far as i'm concerned this is the only really good exclusive on Nintendo consoles.

I forgot to post this before - you can find daily builds for Dolphin and numerous other emulators HERE

Surprised someone is nice enough to compile daily releases and upload them like that, even the devs can't be bothered.

Bumped this thread rather than make a new one because it's not really a major blow to the future of the emulator. Still, unfortunate. PS2 and Wii/Gnomecube emulation have come a long way in the past few years, but losses are difficult to replace when it's just a community of enthusiasts.

There is a ghostbusters title on the wii which is supposed to be acceptable, but i didn't play it.
Don't try skyward sword, it's basically unplayable without a real wiimote+motionplus + nunchuck.

Same for many many games on the wii (trauma center, metroid prime trilogy etc etc), including fatal frame 4 btw, which has shit controls even in the original controler - for example, it doesn't use the IR pointer for aiming, but the nunchunk for aim and the wiimote for looking, and the dpad for moving , even worse than tank style - pity because it's one of the best games on the platform.

You're better off playing gamecube games on dolphin anyway. They'll generally run better and don't have stupid motion control gimmicks (the gamecube RE are equivalent to the wii remakes generally - i think some have a FP mode for the IR, but fuck that right? right?)

It's a real pity that devs generally used motion controls and left the IR pointer alone. Well, its used on resident evil 4 wii edition, some other shooters and a exceedingly estrogen cing 'adventure' (visual novel with stupidly easy puzzles, nips don't do real adventures). The wii U is deservedly dead of consumer raege after Nintendo conned everyone with the Wii (although the controller a is much better gamepad+screen for streaming combo... still with motion control shit unfortunately, but that is every new console ).
