I know that, but honestly I find it a bit weird and pathetic. At some point if you want to run the actual store you have to sell some stuff at a profit.

"Please come to my store, I will suck your dick man"
Shops have to adapt if they want to stay competitive, same rule for everyone:

Imagine being so butthurt you facepalm the idea of a shop giving you your money back out of their own volition.

Steamtard truly is the lowest form of life there is. Maybe if you assholes hadn't invested tons of money into a digital storefront where your entire library can go poof at the first sign of trouble, you guys wouldn't have turned into such pathetic Stockholm Syndrome-suffering cucks.

Always the Steam cucks argument, some of you just can't fathom that EPIC aka CHINA is shit on its own regardless of what people think about Steam?

So I wanted to see how much is Kojima going to scam PC users with his overrated crap. Let's compare stores

1 dollar = 817 CLP today. So, a bit more than 51 USD. But the good thing is I'll get charged in my local currency and I can pay with local debit cards and such, no need to worry about exchange rates.

What about EGS?

More expensive. Can't pay with local currency. Shit storefront.

But hey, developers get a bigger cut, muh "competition", blah blah blah

No. We are just not easily bribed by some free games which many of Epic cock suckers won't even play. Yeah, I'm not going to give my data to Epic just to add a few free games to my 300 game backlog.

Regardless? Really? Then why are "steam cucks" always comparing Epic with Steam and keep telling everyone how Epic sucks because it's not Steam? I thought Epic was supposed to be better than Steam to have any chance. Now it's "regardless"?

Oh, btw, is there any way yet to get Steam-only games without having to use Steam? No?

I personally started to really appreciate all these free games I'll never play, as opposed to all these games I paid for on Steam that I'll never play either.

Made me stop and think what I was doing with my money, thank you Tim and fuck fat Gabe.

Nice trap. Wanna start this shit again for the billionth time? Regardless of the existence of Steam, EPIC is a joke of a store. A store that has to give away games, a store that sells nothing. It can't be better than anything, it has no features.

And who's really gaming on linux ? With the colossal amount of money gabe accumulated he could have made it a standard, instead it's still the subpar choice by far and not a real option.

EGS offering a refund for the difference between a user's purchase amount and the recently-lowered amount of the game is an interesting move. Mainly because it's the first move EGS makes that affects the consumer directly and beneficially and isn't practiced by any other digital distributor (that I know of, at least).

In reality this is EGS's first foray into trying to be competitive; by offering something good that the others don't.

Sadly it's just a PR-move to gain favorable reactions and boost their market share, but the key element will be seeing how the other digital distributors respond to this.

And for the record once again: I was originally in favor of EGS because it had the potential to be a worthwhile rival to Steam, thereby introducing proper competition in an almost monopolistic market. That opinion quickly changed once the specifics of EGS became known, and it has remained such. I don't think Steam is any better in concept, but at least it has usable features and is therefore better in practice. And I agree with Fronzel Neekburm on those who defend Steam vehemently because they fear losing their Steam catalog... because that made me realize that the Steam catalog is their own personal Social Credit-system: They don't dare put it at risk or they'll lose everything, so it must be defended at all costs.
