Whenever you attack DalekFlay a wild passerby appears! Also it's kind of funny passerby registered back in 2016, only has 500ish posts but of the last 100, at least 95% are in this thread. Rest are either related to the Epic v. Steam debate or just general GD shit-posting.

I lurk since 2007, there is also nothing other of interest for me hapening recently and I do very little gaming, can't get into it recently, don't know if it's temporary, my only gaming related activity currently is trying to learn C++ by working on some small modding project.
How does any of this matter for the argument at hand ?

I'm also not sure Dalek was active in this thread, when I first started retarded ratings harversting here. Could you please go through our posting history and answer this question for me ?
If you read our posts carefully you'll find that I have much worse grasp of english and much more aggressive style. For example most of my posts are edited because of grammar corrections and sometimes tonig down shitposting qualities.

Is anyone else's queue filled ONLY with porn?

The last 3 queues I have gone through (all within the last 24 hours) were almost 100% porn related. I think 3 of the 36 games weren't.

Full disclosure, I have a few titles that are adult content related, but not enough that this should be happening. I also don't mind seeing one every once in a while (some are actually decent games without the adult stuff), so I would rather not turn off the tags completely if I can avoid it. Just wondering if I'm the only one...

It's not just the actions of the Epic Game Store that I find deplorable, it's also the actions of several publishers who chose greed over their community/fanbase/supporters. This is part of the reason I don't want to buy their games. We have publishers that pull their game from Steam during the last second (Metro Exodus). We have publishers that build up their game with money from their supporters, promising those supporters Steam keys and that they could buy the game from GOG, and then they make a 180 turn and puts the game (that was only possible due to the backing on kickstarter) and make it an Epic Store Exclusive (Phoenix Point, Outer Wilds). Then we have gems like Borderlands 3 (which I was actually looking forward to), where the issues with Randy Pitchford stand out. My dislike for Randy Pitchford appeared already during Borderlands 2. It amplified with his actions during Borderlands 3, and that together with the Epic Game Store exclusive, is enough for me not to buy the title.

It's not just the Epic Game Store for me, it's the publishers and their obvious greed while at the same time ignoring their supporters/backers. I don't want to get an account on the Epic Game Store, and I don't want to support these kind of publishers, so I really have no reason for buying the games. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older, or because I have developed a strong moral compass, but I don't rush to the store to buy a game the moment it is released. I often ignore certain games based on the practices of the developers/publishers, while at the same time I'll buy several copies from Indie studios because I want to support them and I feel that they are doing things the right way.

At the end of the day, it's my money, and I decide where I want to use it.

I'm not sure what that's supposed to prove because it's too long to fuck with, but he bashes Morrowind on post three and that's like my third favorite game of all time, which I voted for at the top of my lists both times here, so... Believe it or not there can be more than one person who don't give much of a fuck about which client they load to play something.

For most people the issue is not which client but how many clients. Not that the Epic Store isn't a shit product made by assholes, but the main grievance with it is that it means installing a second client when you already have Steam.

It's like when a website you visit on your phone (linkedin comes to mind for being the most obnoxious) bugs you to install their app when you have a browser already. Why do I need another program to do the same thing as a program I already have?

In a perfect world I agree, we'd have one client and one streaming video app and both would be run by a very consumer-friendly company who never abused that power. However that's just not the case, and hasn't been for a long while. I already had four clients installed when Epic launched theirs, one more isn't going to make a big difference. I agree though you can choose to vote no with your wallet, just like I'm sure some voted no on Origin and Uplay before now, but my long beating session on the dead horse carcass in this thread has just been me saying I don't believe most will join you. But again, we shall see. Maybe you guys will prove me wrong, who knows.

On a side note, I think Epic being a shitty company is a much more compelling argument than only wanting one client, but I don't think most consumers care about that one either.

It certainly is the case for me. I have Steam. Anything not on Steam is either from the bad old days of retail or pirated. I don't use Origin or Uplay, or the Epic store, or whatever other clients are out there, if it requires me to install an additional client to run it I either don't play it or I pirate it and then generally run it through Steam.

It has been 3 weeks and Epic still hasnt figured out how to sell Anno in its store. Or maybe they are just keeping it super-exclusive.

90% of the guy's posts all across Steam forums are white-knighting Epic for no other point than just to white-knight Epic. Thought maybe it was someone you knew~

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I guess Epic has already contributed one positive thing to PC gaming.

Microsoft is now putting their games on Steam too because they've seen that this is going to be a good business move in the light of all the hate on Epic's exclusives.

Now we're gonna get the Age of Empires Definitive Edition remakes outside of the Windows Store, too!

Epic keeps impressing me, they made Microsoft, the guys behind Games For Windows Live and the Windows Store, just decide "You know what, having exclusives kinda makes us look like them and we hate that...hey Valve, any chance you want more games?" and that is amazing.

What's next, EA deciding to make a good original IP without any DLC and lootboxes while saying it will be on everything because they support choices for gamers?

Microsoft really screwed the pooch by pushing Windows gaming to the backiest of back burners to make the Xbox, and letting Steam rush in and make god knows how much money in their stead. Still, they know Steam has been a huge boost for Windows gaming, and it makes sense for them to be practical about it. There was never a game I wanted enough to fuck around with the Windows Store though, so not sure how much I care (so far).

XBOX shit was a blessing in disguise. There is no way that any successful PC distribution platform by Microsoft would be better for PC gaming than Steam.

Well okay then. Always wanted to play this.

In case you're unaware: it's $10 off during the sale, but the discount only appears when you put it in the cart. Epic's taking $10 off everything over $15 on their own dime, even pre-orders (that publishers didn't pull off the store like pussies).

I watched a video of it though and the QTEs looked like something I couldn't endure.
