Expedition Spoiler: Acorn Code?

So I held on to AconR after first giving it to the professor and the reloading. Told him I didn't find anything the second time around, because handing it over was just so anti-climactic. Went to Azif in Oculus and showed him the thing. He mentioned something about an unlock code being required to use it.

Now I'm wondering, is there such a thing somewhere to be found in Underrail? I've explored everything thoroughly in the Black Sea but I haven't come upon anything that might be an unlock code for this.

Has anyone found something about it yet?
