Looks like <a href="http://exult.sourceforge.net/">ExUlt</a> might be <A href="http://exult.sourceforge.net/forum/read.php?f=1&i=21348&t=21348">going 3D</a>, but still uses the original graphics in most places. How nifty is that?

There's a couple of extra large screenshots in that thread if you click on the links, like <A href="http://members.cox.net/~sbx/exult3dpre-codexshrineguardians.png">this one</a> of the <i>Codex Shrine Guardians</i>. Yeah, guess why I picked that one.

there's no mention when it'll be out (unless i'm missing it somewhere).

it's amazing the tweaks they can do to make the general game so much more appealing.

    Reminds me of Populous 3.

I'd never played Ultima 7 before, but this makes it a lot more tempting.

As a fan of the Ultima series I have been playing around with Exult for some time now. Going 3D is one of the best idea they ever had - making a good game even better! Also it's amazing what they can do without creating a whole new game by just using the old data in creative ways. Let's hope there's a playable version out soon.

Exult was great fun in 2d already. I wonder what requirements will the 3d version have.

Wow. That's seriously cool. Not sure what it'll be like to play in 3D (I think it'll feel weird for a while) but I'll definitely give it a go. It'll be a good excuse to play Serpent Isle again anyway.

You're probably better off just pirating it.
