No, its not.

Dragon Quest is or was, FF been more popular outside Japan as FF was notable for basically one thing, selling well enough so Square instead of closing remained in business but it was never Dragon Quest.
Likewise Persona is not really that great, they have a following but then again, a lot of series have (thats why they are series) but not to such a extent, Persona 5 should not really be competition in either market since its more niche that FF is.

Lets face it, those idiots cannot into game development and nobody upstairs have the balls to set a deadline they have to keep, the whole thing been a mess since the start ...

Quest markers for fucking everything
Accessories and weapons only
Custom outfits...

Skill trees might be cool, but I doubt they'll be extensive enough to warrant meaningful replays.

Every dipshit NPC in this game has a ridiculous accent, like I'm playing Dragon Quest VIII or something equally ridiculous

Overall, I'm not impressed by that video. I suppose that I will skip day 1 purchase without too much problems.

EDIT: For those who are interested, here there are the 4chan leaks about the plot. A lot of them are true, so maybe the guy was right about everything. And this sucks, 'cause these leaks are quite terrible.

OST and Youtube cutscenes will suffice. No need to waste time on the boring filler "gameplay".

 

The VA is indeed crappy. It just seems off. I hope they'll include the original jap VA, but probably wont. Using Aaron Paul in Kingsglaive as Nyx was a mistake since he's pretty good as a VA. They should've had him be part of the main cast, not the movie. Everything else is business as usual, as I expected. It's not like FF15 is the first FF to have quest markers or the first FF to have weapons and accessories as the only equippable items (FF7, FF8, FFX). My biggest fear is that the open road in mountain area is the only kind of environment there is in the game, since they haven't exactly shown anything else either. Grading combat performance is a great addition, though.

 

The game will also be dubbed in french and german, in case you guys are interested.

 

I think that's fucking stupid, too. Just strap a sword and shield to your back like everyone else. But, from the looks of the cutscenes in each royal tomb they have some sort of half-baked excuse for it. I didn't think there was royal camping equipment to go along with it. Perhaps Noctis' great-great....great grandfather King Jeremiah Johnson IX left behind some folding chairs, and a barbecue instead of a giant axe like the rest of them.

 

Have you seen some WORSE PS3 english localized games? In comparison to these this is AWESOME.

 

But Noctis isn't like everyone else. The phasing weapons is a magical ability.

 

Noctis has MP, they don't.

BTW the movie is voiced by Game of Thrones cast. There is not only SB but also Cersei.

 

Ignis can cast Cure! He has magic, too. Noctis isn't that special of a snowflake.

 

The mundane magic spells are like alchemy bombs in FF15. Anyone can use those. True magic can be used by normies but only if they are granted a portion of the magical power that belonged to Noct's father and now Noctis.

Edit: Rumor has it that FF15 will have quad audio. Thank god if true.
