WoW, this looks pretty bad. Compare the ogre in the second screen to a pic of an ogre from DA:O -

Looks fake. Obviously they are simply shooped DA1 screenshots.

Why would you put serrations on a sword?

To further wound the target when it's removed?

Not that any game but JA2 ever bothered with bloodlosss...

Anyone stabbed with a sword deep enough to use those serrations is pretty much fucked whether they are there or not. Meanwhile, removing the sword is much harder when nameless badguy #2 behind him decides to come after you

They are all alpha, but OP prefer to not say anything so RPGCodex can bash the game already.

It seems like when working on The Old Republic, Bioware realized that they can create art assets much faster when they are not aiming for photo-realistic graphics. So possibly they are using that bit of wisdom when developing Dragon Age 2?

Or why would they put serrations that close to the hilt as opposed to all along the edge unless he wanted to use it as a huge survival knife to saw down trees with?

And why does it look like Commander Riker is swinging at a deadite from Army of Darkness?

Anyway, looks like we now have tan colored darkspawn as opposed to the Locust versions. Still...

Could that be placeholder art? Because it seriously looks like ass.
