The game is your standard role playing game (RPG). You begin by creating your character, or you can reanimate your original Dungeon Siege character (unfortunately without all your Incredible Mace of Invincibility and Impenetrable Armor-All). Frankly, the best thing to do is pick the character you like and enjoy building them up to whatever you like – there are plenty of adventures and opponents to slay to increase your attributes. Plus, you are able to talk and interact with characters, such as our parties’ discussion with the mayor – who sounded a lot like my Boss: “I know you brought me a large blue rock, but now I want a small green rock.” Unfortunately, you can’t kill the mayor (I tried below).

Makes you wonder what good the Kill Mayor VII spell is good for, doesn't it?

That only works against summoned mayors. You need Power Word: Scandal.

Really? I thought the fact that I could play the game without looking at the monitor actually improved my experience. I loved this guy referring to DS as a "cult classic."
