Everyone complained Gears was too brown, gruff, cheesy and cover shooty. Now they're complaining it isn't enough of that.

Crowbcat makes shitty videos, fuck them

the video isn't about color palette, it's about destructible environments.

Another crowbcat video about trivialities that have zero impact on gameplay.

Gears 5 sounds better btw. 2 is too loud.

Those details are cool but keep in mind that Gears 5 still has lots of destructible environments, mostly gameplay affecting like ice blocks or swarm cocoon that can be used as cover, and ice surface that freezes anyone standing on it after broken.

The only crowbcat video I found acceptable is the one that compared Dead Rising 4 and Dead Rising 1 tbh, since those details were DR1's biggest selling point in gameplay.

That was his worst and most cherrypicked video, he complains about not having to escort survivors in DR4 but he never mentions how terrible the survivors' AI in DR1 was. Then the rest of the video is about him grabbing useless stuff on the floor.

Dead Rising's shit AI and console style saving bullshit turned me off the game. DR4 being different makes me want to try it someday, if anything.

nah, it's about useless shit like goofy animation during incineration and blood on the floor as you crawl. Plus, I actually played Gears of War 2 so I know that the "destruction" is negligible which is why it does nothing in the video.

DR 4 is pretty bad compared to the first game. Not only is the gameplay completely destroyed, the characters also, well, the main one at least - Frank West.

The first Dead Rising is the worst - torturous AI, low zombie count, few weapons/vehicles, no multiplayer - the game is a draft for the superior sequels. Dead Rising fans love to bring revisionism and pretend the escort missions were fine.

"the weapon placement feels completely random…
there are guns absolutely everywhere…"
Did he bother to check what country this game takes place in?

I'm playing this and the characters are the tamed caricatures you'd expect. COGs have essentially been neutered into CUCKS. Every dude got some emotional issues about his past, Marcus has been relegated to an old wise surrogate-daddy type, and Kait is the feisty and stronk leader of that whole flock.

At least the popamole shooting is okay and the graphics gorgeous. Now when you shoot Locust Swarm grunts, their heads literally pop. With satisfying popping sound. Very popamole indeed.

The Dead Rising survivor AI is one of the most fun aspects of the game, to the extent that I wish there was a full on sheep herding game that functioned just like that but with more of it. "Fixing" it was one of the more obvious changes that made the sequel trash - though there are many others.

After playing the first two acts of this on my $2 Gamepass PC deal on the basis of this being the best the Xbox has to offer I see no reason whatsoever to contemplate buying an Xbox at this stage. PS has a few high quality exclusives but this is merely above average.

Its actually kinda good for what it is. Bombastic cinematic big budget popamole done by the book.

The gfx are good, sometimes amazing, top notch voice acting and so far didnt cringe at the dialogue even once.

Its all the same pile of games, nothing different from Uncharted, nu-Tomb Raider or similar games.

Yeah, not all games are supposed to be holy high brow, sometimes a game is an action movie: play, have a good evening and move on.

Bombastic post-MW cutscene shooters are perfect for this; as long as you don't buy full price, it's hard to be disappointed especially considering it's part of the pretty limited family of no-questions-asked split-screen coop shooters on PC.

I realise a YouTuber or "gaming journalism" will get more to talk about and more clicks from fucktards 12-yo if he complains about how IT'S-ALWAYS-THE-SAME but oxygen thieves shouldn't dictate your purchases.
