I bought Sublevel Zero on Steam when it was released but ended up refunding it. It's a pretty garbage Descent clone.

More like that means that this is reliable infos and that Bloodlines and Homeworld have a very good chance to be released in the next few months. :bounce:

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
Is this game good? I like what I see.

I gave it a go. I'm impressed. It reminds me very much of "Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters", except it takes the concept a whole lot further.

It's a beat'em-up with some upgrading involved, and I like its usage of vertical architecture - there's very little stopping you from taking a skydive and enjoying the view on the way down.

The highpoints are the running commentary from the 'director' (makes me think of Bruce Campbell) and the artistic style - you can see strings on spaceships in cutscenes and on the little bats, the dinosaurs move in Ray Harryhausen-esque stop-motion, and the lizard people costumes look plastic and fake. The music is nice but it feels a little out of place here, not fitting the mood or setting.

Its only downpoint so far is that it looks to be painfully short - I'm hearing 4-6 hours of gameplay, maybe a couple more if you go hunting for the extras.

Another point worth mentioning (which I'm surprised we haven't heard about yet on social media) is the sexist attutude presented in the game. An example are the High Explosives, which are needed to get past certain obstacles - only the male protagonist can use them, and the director quips "Who'd ever think of a girl using high explosives?" This is but one example of several, but none of them are out of line, considering the game's setting.

$10 is about as high as I'd recommend getting it for, so help a poor dev out.

Update: Finished it with 21 out of 24 'ranks' fulfilled. (Couldn't find all targets and only found 2 out of 6 reels and therefore wasn't eligible for the last rank.)

Sadly it is very short, and quite easy to boot. But the ride is enjoyable while it lasts.

Protip: Keep the VHS 'aspect' on for the graphics, but the audio set to DVD-grade. VHS-grade audio distorts the voice acting so that it starts to hurt hearing it, but even with DVD-audio there are plenty of lines which can't be made out, especially in the last part. Be grateful for subtitles.

OK, Fallout new vegas could be going to GOG :shredder:

Here is the potential proof :

https://af.gog.com/products/1454587428?as=1649904300

That comes from the same dude who said Bloodlines and Homeworld were too. The thing is that just means that GOG has or had a potential product named fallout new vegas ultimate edition. Which is a good indication, but not an absolute proof that said (if the negociations went down for instance). He has a full list of potential games, battlezone 98 redux, outlast 2 and much, much more coming next week. :shittydog:

This is all hacking in gog database stuff, so "nothing is confirmed or for sure... Blahblah" :dealwithit:

If New Vegas goes to GOG, there are at least three people that I've promised to buy it for should it ever go DRM free. That plus I'd have to re-buy it myself. My poor wallet...

Oh, who am I kidding. I cannot fucking WAIT.

In before it will get shitty reviews declaring it has tons of bugs and poor gameplay, unlike FO3 and 4. Just like it happened with Steam already.

Potential interesting titles for codexers :
Demon Age
Descent Underground (? Isn't that the avellone shitty d&d game ?)
Dwarves, The
Expeditions: Viking
Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition
Rage of Mages
Oblivion :M
The Mandate

Some old activision titles : GUN, Timeshift and Caesar 4.

There are some others probably, I'm just skimming through.

No word about Bloodlines? The Descent game is a new one, not the crappy d&d Descent game.

I...have no words. God....god is real. And he is called JudasIscariot . And he listened to my prayers. Listened to them for Majesty, listened for Requiem. Let me marry you Judas! Thank you!!!!!!! :takemyjewgold:

Now, Noone Lives Forever, get to work lazy scum!

Edit: Oh, and Mafia, Mafia too.

I still have my original Requiem box...and +1 for NOLF and Mafia....I'd add Hidden and Dangerous series as well to that as 'recent' games that really should be re-released. Oh and Emperor Rise of the Middle Kingdom...annoying that the Impressions series isn't complete!

Horsecock. Mandate is starting to reek of vapourware more and more, it's as reasonable to believe this rumour, as to believe it will miraculously get released on steam, u-play and origins at the same time.

GOG still lists Nekro as "upcoming" game. Another troubled kickstarter project.
They just might have successfully negotiated with GOG.

That just means there is an API product for The Mandate on GOG website, not that the game will necessarily be released. Nekro for example is supposed to come to GOG for months now, but the game is totally dead and teared in a conflict between its devs, so it probably will never happen. That doesn't mean that other titles with very good relations between their devs and GOG won't appear though.

EDIT Ninja'ed by Taka

They're cool games (time manipulation was cool), wonder if they bring Will Rock too...
