I went treasure and secret hunting with my high-level party after clearing the whatever the area with lots of Titans and Dragons, had a fun surprise of a dragon spitting a fireball in my face upon return.

Once per a couple of months is OK, I guess. When the respawn hits you probably are stronger by enough of a margin to breeze through the area.

Except for the Dragonsand and Paradise Valley areas, yes. So it's worthless on top of being annoying.

Even there. By the time you're strong enough to go to Paradise Valley anyway you're close enough to the end that you shouldn't see it respawn (the only areas I saw respawn were the starter ones, New Sorpigal, Ironfist, and maybe one or 2 more).

Anyway, respawn rate in MM6-8 is IIRC either 6 months or 2 years, depending on the area. In MM6 most outdoors respawn every 6 months, all dungeons 2 years. Except the Kreegan hive, which is 7 days.

Anyone knows whether the experience bonuses the npc followers give you in MM 6 are cumulative, or the higher value overrides the lower?

For instance if I have two followers, one of whom gives my party a 10% experience bonus, and the other 15%, do I get a 25% experience bonus, or only the higher value counts?

Don't know, but it should be fairly easy to check. Start a new game, save before giving the letter at Castle Ironfist and check the experience gain with one or two trainers.

Why would you want two trainers anyway? Get learning for everyone instead and get a banker.

Or I can just kill something, then fire one of the npcs and kill the same monster again and see whether I get less experience. Funny how I didn't think of it.

EDIT: It's cumulative. I'm using two trainers since it seemed like the most useful benefit a follower could give, I also have some points in Learning for every party member.

Pretty sure it's cumulative from what I remember...

MM6 is my favorite game ever, just so leisurely and it has such a fun world to explore.

I have tried to play this game multiple times and always get bored after a couple of days.

I do like open worlds to explore but it seems like the gameplay was just full of dungeons with tons and tons of baddies to clear out so it just gets old pretty fast.

That's the point, it's just meant to be mindless, relaxing and accessible. No epic plot, just some low-brow hacking and slashing and exploration, but done right and with a super easy and clear interface.

Many women who tried these games like them for this reason.

Experience from the NPCs you can hire is cumualtive, but you won't get a benefit from two Trainers. The most you can get is a 25% bonus from the Instructor and Teacher combo IIRC.

That's what I use. And yes, I already found out that it's cumulative.
