Bioware, while they are yet to really impress me with one of their RPGs, they will never cease to impress me with their compilation zeal. Coming soon... from the people who brought you Neverwinter Nights: Gold and Neverwinternights: Platinum, comes Neverwinter Nights: Diamond. This one comes with everything Platinum did, plus a mod (that just so happened to be RPG of the Year).

To be fair, though, Atari has to be somewhat involved.

I get the feeling we can look forward to Neverwinter Nights: Love, since its the only thing more valuable than diamond I can think of. This one will include that Pirate mod they released recently.

I don't know about this "Diamond" crap, I'm not going to buy a whole new copy of the damn game for one extra module, but I'd probably be okay with buying a compilation 'expansion pack' of all the 'premium modules'. At the moment, I'm not willing to bother with them because of the Steam-esque anti-piracy mandatory internet connection bullshit.

I imagine Atari does have more than something to do with it, though. It's sad that such a proud name is being used for such evil.

I predict the next NWN compilations will be "Neverwinter Nights: Sapphire" and "Neverwinter Nights: Emerald", which will be released simulataneously and will feature the ability to trade animal companions and familiars between versions, some of which will only be found in one version or the other. Gotta catch 'em all.

That's already available. You can get all the Premiums up to Kingmaker at GameStop.

I believe if you have the CD, you don't have to authenticate on-line.

Seriously, though, NWN may not exactly be the pinnacle of RPGs, but it's a damn sight better than a lot of the shit that's been making the rounds in the last few years. HotU may have been pretty lacklustre, but I've heard some good things about the 'premium' modules.

let me also point out that NWN with the expansions and the PrC pack are actually pretty damn fun. just look up player's resource consortium and read about the like 40 additional class kits and the like 100 extra spells. i can't imagine playing NWN without it, the game just bored me to tears.

What is the PrC pack? The abbreviation is not ringing any bells for me.

http://nwnprc.netgamers.co.uk/ the players resource consortium, it is amazing. it improves the gameplay and class options so much that i wound up playin NWN just for the gameplay. hard to believe, i kno. i forgot to mention the ton of races it adds in addition to classes/skills/feats/spells. it enhances your character in virtually every regard.

vol, dont be so negative, man. if you can stand the tedium of regular NWN, you will love this, does more for the game than any of the expansions/PMs.
