Awww... there are a lot more things you can do to living people than to dead ones. Deaders are no fun, don't you know that? :(

They're members of our gang. Mistakes are made on megadoses, and retarded plans are hatched. They will have to be appropriately punished, of course.

But we're short on cash, and the damages will cost us some. We shouldn't be so eager to throw away part of our moneymaking operation at this vulnerable stage. There'll be time for XTREME reactions later. Would be good to know what role these tweakers play in our organisation, though. Muscle is more replaceable than cooks, after all. We should keep specialised personnel around for if we need to diversify later on.

Cheesecake can you tell us more about the manaheads?

We need to think carefully about why this little incident started, first of all:

I know that this is referencing the King's Men, but I suspect that our own old, loyal gang members who were with us from the very beginning probably feel slighted in the same way. Now let's look at what D would entail:

What will people (especially the already annoyed King's Men) think if we outright kill our own men after a bit of petty vandalism? Yeah, there's the principle of the matter and the idea that, as a badass crime-lord, you can't let even the matter of a few coins slide without slitting a few throats, but what this looks like is that suddenly our girlfriend is the one running the show and not us. We become Baron, and the first thing we do is open up a brothel and kill some of our own men because we're cuntstruck. That isn't the case, but that sure as fuck isn't what it looks like. Instead of looking strong, I think a move like this makes us look weak, like we aren't the real Baron.

Obviously we can't reason with these guys, because they are high as fuck, but we can't kill these dudes, it would reflect horribly on us. Either C or B are the choice here. Since they are interfering with business and they do pose a threat to our money, I am leaning towards C, but B works as well.

    C > B

I have no doubt that they do, but that doesn't really matter. We run this show and if someone thinks of overstepping their bounds, they need to be reminded just who is in charge here. I don't really care what their reasons were, but there's a ground rule I want to put down here and now: don't fuck with your own gang. I don't think mercy will get that message across.
If Mage starts getting uppity, we'll put her in her place publicly, but right now she didn't have anything to do with a bunch of tweakers spoiling our business, these guys came here themselves.

You don't know them personally. You don't recognize them as any of your cooks, and most probably are street dealers or muscle.

Going to leave this up for voting for a few hours.

    D. Kill them. You can't cover their asses. Not after what they did to one of your girlfriend's businesses.

"Gruust." Your right-hand looks at you, waiting for confirmation for the unspoken order both of you already know. "Waste them."

Two flashes of blue, each as quick as a heartbeat, swallow the hallway. The sound of imminent death, muffled by his wand's silencer, is followed by a response of searing flesh and screams. Two of the tweaked gangsters fall to the ground, clutching their stomachs, squealing and shrieking. The third, his magicka swollen to inhuman levels, lashes out in fear. Tendrils of magic erupt from his flesh. His moans of fear and pain distort, from a creaking door, to the voice of sin itself.

"Overdosed," Gruust grunts, the magic lash having knocked him to his back. Before he can pick up his wand, another instinctual lash sends him flying. You brace yourself, standing your ground, feeling the force in every bone in your body.

The overdosed gangster, his flesh splitting with unconstrained magic, stumbles and falls. He burns, mind, body, and soul. When they came to this whorehouse high, it seems they didn't intend to leave. In fact, they didn't intend for anyone to leave.

The human time-bomb begins his last scream, the very air around him distorts and tears, and for a brief second reality, the tiniest fraction of reality, trembles.

Your heart races as fast as any horse. Then, it stops. And starts. Slowly. Everything is slowing down. You feel calmer than you've ever felt in your life. You decide to:

    A. Grab Gruust and escape through a window.
    B. Take a shot at the tweaker. Blowing him up now before he's had time to build up fully might give you a chance of survival.
    C. Cast a shielding spell on yourself and Gruust.
    D. Cast a shielding spell on the everyone inside. You might not be as gifted at magic than your brother, but you trust your skills.
    E. Cast a teleportation spell. Your survival is ensured, but the King's Court is certain to come by, not pleased with the use of banned magic.
    F. Do something else: ___

    ---

    Character Sheet (open)
Amadeus Autumn, Baron of Autumn Hold, Gangleader of the Barren Fall. Known as the Barren Baron.

Fit for his age, and taller than most. His hair is the color of autumn leaves, his eyes as green as spring. His features are pale and sunken, like many users of mana.

His skill with magic is remarkable, owing to the fact that he has never had formal training as his brothers had. He is a crack shot with a wand. He can hold his own in a tavern brawl. He is unskilled with swords, and being armored is uncomfortable for him.

His lack of formal education means that he is unwise in the way of nobility, and of academics. However, he is a natural leader, and streetwise. He is a poor tactician, in matters of war, but quite the opposite in the ways of crime.

    ----

His holdings are Autumn Hold and all its lands. The land is infamous for its sterility, and few crops grow there. The peasantry live off the rivers and lakes, as fishermen and fishmongers. Some live off the forests, daring to go where bandits and beasts lurk, harvesting wood for fire and woodcraft.

On the whole, Autumn Hold is poor, with taxes of 20,000 gold pieces every month.

His criminal ventures are Mage's conglomerate of brothels. Fishermen coming into the Hold from their villages spend their hard-earned coin for a warm night. His profits average 10,000 gold pieces every month.

His total income is 30,000 gold pieces monthly.

    ----

He owes the King 30% of his wealth, and pays 20% in protection money to the Queen. He pays 1,000 in bribes to the local King's Men.

His dues are 9,000 to the King, 3,000 to the Queen, 1,000 to the local King's Men, and 1,000 in upkeep. His dues total 14,000 gold pieces every month.

    ----

His treasury currently holds 17,000 gold pieces. In his personal belongings, he has his father's armor, his eldest brother's sword, his elder brother's wand, and a contraband crystal ball.

Possibly with a weak spot in the top of the shield, to funnel the blast upwards and out. Do we know if this is the top floor?
