When I was a lad I ate four dozen eggs every morning to help me get large. And now that I'm grown I eat five dozen eggs, so I'm roughly the size of a barge.

The new biometric machines that work largely off electrical resistances are very, very accurate. They will run you $20 in most places for a complete body composition analysis. Anyone here who can demonstrate a 25+ kilo muscle gain without steroids (instead of having it decrease which is natural) or to have doubled their bone density as they age (instead of having it decrease which is natural) between the ages of 29 and 55 is encouraged to write me by private message on Steam. I'd like to find out how you did that and compare it with my regimen. I don't know if people realize that you don't actually give advice to a 54 year old who is holding those kinds of metrics in his hand. You listen to him but you don't give him advice because that guy really, really knows what he is doing. He really knows. Others are just talking as they get old, dwindle, shrink and die. A person who can demonstrate that sort of hard scientific evidence over a 25 year period is somebody you listen to, you don't lecture. If any of you can prove with a CT Scan of the brain that instead of shrinking, your brain actually grew 100cc over the same period, please contact me by private message here on Steam. You were doing something right. For starters, don't drink the water. I tried to tell people but as usual they laughed at me and were chuggalugging the stuff. You might as well be downing buckets of industrial waste drinking tap water here in Australia. This is like that thing Cleve was talking about.

I've only just gone through chargen and I already hate not having a manual, but mayhap someone can answer me this question at least:

Why can't I have a ranger with access to Archery? I first made a wolfkin ranjer, was very surprised to see he can't have archery at start. Initially I thought it was some weird quirk where ranjers don't have bows, but the quick start party has 2 rain jerks, and both of them have starting points in archery. I tried two more times, with ratman and human, and none of them can ever start with archery. WTF?

Yes, Rangers are supposed to get Archery. If it is worth the time, you could try fighting a few battles and level up, to see if the Archery skill becomes available for your character at second level.

I recall Cleve saying at one point he intended for classes to acquire or unlock new skills as they advance. Maybe he changed it for the .80 build.

Finished the shrine of the raptor. Grimwah is, I have to say, p. cool so far +M

Also, one more major questioneiro:

How important is class switching in this game? Is it about as mandatory as in Wiz 7? Or can you safely play through it without ever switching, except maybe for when you unlock the prestige classes like templar etc? Because Multiclassing was my least favourite aspect of Wiz 7, and if I could skip it without screwing myself, I'd be happy.

It depends if Cleve fixed it or not. When I played, you could finish the game before getting the level required to change classes(I believe it was level 10 or so).

It's level 3 now. Has been for a while.

The way experience requirements spike, past the first third or so of the game you'll only experience a level up maybe once or twice. Perhaps you don't need to multiclass to succeed, but you do need it to keep having fun from getting moar and better levels.

Might have something to do with the fact that I eat 3 raw eggs as part of my morning routine; and I eat them while they're still inside the chicken. This way, all the sodium fluoride that the gubmint injects into the breakfast eggs of underdeveloped weaklings like you can't steal all my muscle mass, nor can it shrink my brain to the size of a lizard's as is the case with all other Australians past the age of 30.

I've been only consuming two raw eggs every morning and I get mine from the grocery store. I feel like such a fool now.
Consuming raw eggs is retarded. You only get half the protein from them when you do that. You get the full amount only when you cook them.

Do you know how people tell you how all those vitamins will just go out in your urine and they are a waste of time? Well, it turns out ... they don't. But it is too late for most people my age to benefit much from vitamins unless they've been taking a bucket a day for decades like I have. Not just any vitamins, either. Stuff that is the product of tens of thousands of hours of reading. Lately I discovered MSM - highly recommended for people over 40, it's a miracle worker.
Tell us all the supplements you take Cleveland Mark Blakemore. I've been taking MSM as well. It's in this joint supplement, along with glucosamine and chondroitin, I've been trying to see if it helps with my knee pain. Besides that, I just take a multivitamin, D3, K2, and occasionally ZMA and Melatonin for sleep.

Will you ever change if you cast a spell in combat you automatically go after everyone that is not casting a spell?

Casting is pretty much never used in combat except for a few boss battles where you pray they do not scratch you or its auto death then you hit them with a huge nuke. When I was playing I honestly couldn't remeber a time I cast a spell in a non boss battle. It seems a shame you put in so much effort into making spells and they are very rarely used in combat.

There are many spells I have never even used in my 130 ish hour playthrough. I have never cast a single one of the summon spells I dont even know if they can be cast with a full party because combat is very rocket tagish you either have the speed or you do not to go before the monster or its auto death for a character. So you definately are not gonna waste time hoping you are not hit and get a spell off. But if your caster could cast one of said spells and then the monster attacks the summon and kills it that would be awesome and add some tatics to the battles.

Maybe I'm in the minority here on this but it is an honest suggestion from me.

Likely to change in V2.

At least I think that is what he is referring, hard to tell with Cleve sometimes...

I remember there were giant worms that could destroy party's gear, so summonong bats was a good way to prevent it, because mobs always attacked those bats. So the risk of loosing gear remained only in first round. I don't know how you played without summoning. Were you able to kill all worms in first round, or you carried spare weapons/armor with you?

On subject, I kind of like the idea that casting take more time than swinging weapon, it has logic. But unfortunately it doesn't work well as game mechanic

I'm in the same boat. Those worms that destroy armor and weapons...+ just so many attacks per round for each mob...that area just became not so much fun sadly

How do you know Cleve wasn't replying to...:

He might have, that's why I said I was not sure but it seems more likely he is talking about the former from the flow of the thread...
right before it someone asks him about the former "Will this be changed in patches? Or in V2?" and it seems like a direct answer to it.

Or maybe he is talking about both subjects...

It uses two skills.

You are trying to discover which wires are connected to each other on both sides of the trap and then cut them in the sequence revealed. So you want to cut 1 on either side followed by the other 1, 2 then 2, 3 then 3. By pressing the button you are trying to reveal the number according to your inspection skill and avoid setting off the trap with your lockpicking skill. A good way to scam the lock is to find any item with "Locksmith Glue" to lock the trap even if you make mistakes.
