Starcraft 2 already came out and I passed the campaign. Good stuff.

Never cared for playing as Zerg, though.

Hopefully it lives up to the same level of quality Blizzard has displayed in D3 and SC2. For the Codex's sake.

I've been thinking: why not make a game that requires you to pay extra for every time you want to replay it? Or...

Bringing the Arcade to Blizztards: A game with a DRM that forces you to pay a fixed price per hour to continue playing it and where you can only save the game in a cloud server with a fee for each save.

All retarded Codex in-jokes and kkk fishing aside, I don't know if I trust Blizzard to provide good stuff anymore. SC2 at least had good multi, but Diablo 3 showed incompetence all round when it comes to design, and most of the new SC2 expansion units are so stupid/not fitting of the setting it makes me physically ill to think about them. Especially the new Terran car-robot.

What shitty units are they adding anyway? I know they axed the carrier for some guardian/brood lord air to ground unit because herp derp. That and the shitty transformer carbot.

Are the zerg finally getting something that can shoot at air and isn't called a hydralisk or queen?

How do you form a Babby Kotick.

Well, I personally am not buying Heart of the Swarm for pretty much the same reasons. Granted SC1 had a lot of tongue-in-cheek on the (then) current trends, but it never dipped into stupidity like SC2 seems to be heading to. I also don't give a fuck about ladder/whatthefuckever so p.much whatevs.

SC2 mult sucked ass big time. It missed everything that made SC great. First SC was an insanely fun spectator sport, because it was a relatively slow game, but pros made it into fast game and their APM was really fun to watch. But that C&C faggot talentless Bowder, made games shorter... SC units had more sense, the game had a more strategic variety and story of SC and BW is vastly superior to SC2. And it's just few of it's flaws, not sure why people think that it is great, I think that I lost 60 €... Maybe next 25 filer missions of HOTS will be worth at least the bandwitch.
The new units show the competence of Blizz balancing team... Even to a retired Diamond player they clearly look imbalanced. So they will be nerfed in coming months after release, because of the buthurt from players. Maybe it's the game's promotion Activision style?

Have they added in LAN play yet? Because that was pretty much the only way I found Scraft 1 fun. The campaigns were pretty boring ('course most RTS campaigns are even more snore-inducing), and online multiplayer is really no match for playing with some bros you know (unless you are really skilled/competitive or fucking love tower defense). Scraft 2 with only campaigns and online kind of killed any desire I had for the game.

    Oh no. Much more.
    Oh YES.

    And much more.

It looks pretty freaking awesome to me. And it will make for some rather insane matches - in a good way.

    - FLOW...happy Zerg/Protoss tears - Heart of Swarm says.

marines & marauders are still effectively uncountered. maybe locusts swarm will help but it will probably be so high up in the tech that it's pointless.

at least speed upgrade for hydra so they're not completely pointless. why they put that into the first addon is beyond me though.

WTF car robot? hahaha, oh wow. SC2 is insanely popular but it seems they have already decided to crash this franchise into the ground like Command & Conquer.

They get a burrowed lurker as a movable static AA defense... But as hydras are tier 2 unit, thus the new lurker will be at least 2.5 slow moving unit. It will really balance the lack of early game zerg AA :D

Because Zerg have problems with early game air attacks?

I don't much like the looks of the new shit, I doubt I'll be getting back to SC2 just to abuse the new broken units.

all of these cost a lot more and are needed in greater numbers to overcome rine/rauder. in low unit count situations nothing beats rauder/rine, except maybe bling and that only early in the game as terran upgrades rapidly decrease the effectiviness of blings.
a MMM balling terran lategame is neigh invincible for zerg.

the situation isn't as grim for protoss, as P units actually do damage but to counterweight P early game revolves solely around defending/delaying the inevitable MM(M) push. and if you can't you're dead.

you can play a lot of dumb bullshit as T and still win the game, when as the other two races you'd been gutted alive around the 10 minute mark.

Cost a lot more? Lol, what? I'm sorry but you're just completely wrong, Zerg has absolutely no problems with MM/M of all things.

i have played several thousand ladder games, i know what i am talking about.

    for example, consider the costs:
    marine 50/0/1
    rauder 125/25/2

    vs
    infestor 100/150/2
    bling 75/25/1
    roach 75/25/2

if you can pressure the zerg into a low unit game you are guaranteed to win the engagements, as terran upgrades scale much better due to synergies (all units are ranged, stim, medvacs)

many low level T don't see the power of a midgame gambit vs. zerg and sit statically in their base instead and then complain on the forums that they get owned by evil zerg that outmasses them 3:1. MMM is so absurdedly strong that it's borderline OP.
