ffs, I really...really hope this isn't an actual mission briefing and they don't actually spell out all the different ways to kill the target.

The decline just keeps getting worse.

So I thought Sapienza was the best Hitman level I would ever play, but fuck me if Mumbai doesn't surpass it. What an excellent piece of level design.

I was feeling a bit 'eh' about Miami and Colombia. Not that they're bad, just decent (by NuHitman standards). This, however. Fucking awesome.

He is a DUMBFUCK !!! you know...

Back to Hitman: Paris is my favourite 2016 mission, I really hate static mission objectives, they should not exist in Hitman. So Sapienza even though a beautiful level design is forever tainted by the stupid virus.

It seems they're trying to address all the complaints about ET during (TM)1's season. They're focusing on the wrong part though. People didn't dislike them because they were hard. Basically telling you how to do the contracts at the start won't help anything.

FYI: The newest patch allows you to skip the WB and IOI logo roll by pressing escape on a keyboard or X on a Xbox 360 controller.
    Also, patch notes. https://www.ioi.dk/patch-notes-hitman2/

What would be so bad about IO being an MS studio? Hitman 2 is great but everything surrounding it, like their pricing policy and always online is absolute cancer.

Their games would be limited to Windows 10 Store and Xbox. If a Steam release would ever come it would be either much later as it was in the case of Quantum Break and Sunset Override, or never.
Pricing model is definitely on WB as every other game made/published by them or their studios has had similarly shitty things. See Shadow of War.
Online may or may not be on them as Hitman 2 has it too. I wish that you could simply unlock stuff offline, but player telemetry has been used to make maps and changes to maps in Season 1. Hokkaido was based off of player telemetry.

What does unlocking stuff offline have to do with telemetry?

Nothing. I don't know what you are getting at, I just wish that you could unlock stuff offline, but the game can still also be connected to the internet and IOI could gather player telemetry from that.

You yourself made the connection between telemetry and always online. That's what I'm getting at.

Again, I don't know what you are getting at. Because the game is online, they can gather player telemetry.
I wish that I could unlock stuff and use it offline, without an internet connection.
But if I have a internet connection the game may as well be always online, because my connection is stable enough and it wouldn't make any sort of difference to me other than potentially making the game better in the future.

The point is that player telemetry can exist in offline games.

But the game being online whenever possible and gathering player telemetry makes zero difference, assuming that any sort of gameplay unlocks are not tied to it as they (unfortunately) are now. That is my point.

I had the same issue but I restarted Steam and it worked again, it appears that everyone else had the same solution in the Steam forums as I did. May be some weird thing with Steam identification/handshake.

Seems like the game being always online does make a difference then.

If the gameplay unlocks were available to be earned and used offline, it wouldn't. You could still play the game. That's really the main thing that ticks me off about IOI's implementation, that you can't actually earn anything while playing offline.

So if the game were not always online it wouldn't matter? I agree.

The game isn't always online in the sense that you can't play if you aren't connected, fyi. Dunno if you have caught on or not yet.

I have. But removing the reward system for people who have or want to play offline (even if the reward system is trash) effectively turns it into an always online game because the entire game revolves around the mastery reward structure.

Games you bought shouldn't be held hostage by the developer.

Yes, I agree that you should be able to unlock shit in offline mode. I have made this clear long ago. I just think that the game being always online is a non-issue if the former part is solved.
