Here's a mod that turns HoMM3 into a fighting game, kind of an odd conversion. I'm wondering if anyone here has tried it, can recommend playing, and if they would like to have a few matches sometime.

edit: HoMM is definitely not a strategy game. The core of homm is tactical hex battles with units playing specific roles. The strategy is scant to non existent. Several maps are mazes and jokes; maybe with the exception alliance scenarios players will find almost no strategic value in these games. So I protest the relocation of my topic, I don't care what games jornos call homm: its turn-based tactical.

You have to respect the developers for going out of their way to create this, though. My understanding is that mods like this and "Warcraft 3 racing game" were made because the creators want to play games that he can't play because he can't afford to buy the games he wanted. Nowadays though games are cheap.
