I'm trying to figure out which game has Iroquois, all those countries mentioned, AND allows you to assassinate generals, and the only thing I can even think of is maybe Total War.

 

only thing i can think of is some kind of paradox game mod. something that extends pre 1700's into the modern era
edit: something like that Europa Universalis III mod that goes up to like year 9999. cant remember the name

You can assassinate people in EU with spy missions, there is assassinate advisor IIRC and some mods introduce other like assassinate ruler. So a fantasy modern day scenario seems correct as an answer.

And now we can start a discussion. I heard a lot of stuff about ETW. But after beta status of Shogun 2 FOTS, I decided to download ETW with latest patches. So I found a prepatched precracked version (with trojan in ISO but it worked fine otherwise), one click installed it, and it worked without problems. In fact I had so blast, I even thinking on trying fully patched M2 Kingdoms.

 

Don't these games all have horrible ai making them unimmersive and unchallenging

 

Empire sucked major balls, I regret allowing myself to think differently before its launch. I am curious as to how you avoided the ten minute long turn of doom, which inevitably occured due to shitty AI unit movement on the campaign map.

The games have added more and more features for players to exploit while making the AI worse and worse at the game because they don't know how to do anything other than random movements. It is indeed sad.
