Who said anything about buggy computers? Surely, even you would agree that things like OS, drivers, cards, etc could affect performance. Duh!

Yeah, yet it's so wide spread except for some reason the RPGCodexers for the most part are spared it. Go figure...

I think it's a Troikian conspiracy. if you have supported them 120% in the past inlcuding sucking up; they guarnateed it would work for you. Otehrwsie, good luck.

Even after installing both the official and the Co8 patches, I had trouble with the Mona's Orb quest. I couldn't get Mickey to show up anywhere. So much of the interaction in Nulb is dependent on finishing that quest. It was frustrating.

Eventually, Mickey *did* show, but only after a whole hell of a lot of restarts, stretched over several days.

My big problem, though, is the slowdowns. Then again, my computer is old, so I don't know how much of it to blame on ToEE, and how much to blame on my hardware. But if a patch could fix the slowdowns, I wouldn't even think twice about the other bugs. ToEE at optimum speed would be terrific.

I didn't have any troubles with Mona's orb. But the blacksmith in Nulb attacks me on sight, even if I had never seen him and never stolen anything from him.

The slowdowns piss me off, too. You would think that on a Athlon 1400 with 768 megs of RAM a 2d game with 3d models would run fast. Even screen scrolling is slow.

Common, Volourn, you wouldn't think that I'm lying, would you? And it's not just the Codexers, common sense should tell you that people who had no problems with ToEE wouldn't be making gazillion posts that they're fine.

Didn't say you were lying. I say you were a part of a conspiracy.

OH MY GOD!! NINJA'S JUST JUMPED THROUGH THE WINDOW AND CHOPPED BOTH MY LEGS OFF!!

    OH MY GOD!!

    OH MY GOD!!

I haven't had many ToEE bugs at all in the (few) hours I've spent with it. Only the "Scroll Speed 5" and path finding being a bit off if you click on something that's a little too far away, or is around a bend or something.

Oh, and there's the fact that I keep clicking on weapons and barrels and things on the ground a few times before realising that they're part of the painting.
