Honestly, the "censored" ones look better. And the difference is just like 2 lines here and there but the original ones look like half-assed attempt. The first one has more "censored" feelings (like trying to become barely legal from a frontal nudity).

Both designs are retarded, but I prefer the more revealing one.

Funny, I was just looking at the GOG site and saw a review (they're having an IF sale atm):

The Game is censored
November 14, 2021

Idea factory still managed to censor the game regardless of making a fan survey asking if they wanted the original Characters design from the Japanese first game (Western released first game one was also censored) After a majority vote said they wanted the uncensored versions, they went back on their word and still censored the game. If you want more censored garbage because some people get triggered by skin you buy this game, if you are for freedom of expression and want creators to create anything they want and express it in any way you don't buy this game. In the long run, if you buy this game will ensure more censorship for future titles.

LOL. Go figure. I'd imagine IF/CH games aren't popular on codex. I'll have to find the thread here if one exists. I've been curious about some of their games paticularly the EOB-like blobbers. I did see a side-scroller with what looked like FF combat. I'd never buy their games at full price. Something hits me that they take shorcuts and maybe they don't entirely care about their fanbase from various platforms. Again, Console & STEAM take priority. I guess the current sale reflects older games released to GOG but neutered at little.

So I installed the GOG version of Death end re;Quest 2 after talking to Rean about censorship a while ago in the shoutbox. It's not fully censored. See for yourself.

Character art is NOT censored:

Now onto the character models. All characters, with the exception of Al Astra, are not censored. See for yourself:

Clea:
She's in a rather odd place. You can easily make out the censored outfit that IF/CH did a poor job removing. But, ah well, still counts as uncensored and not that big of a deal.

And here we have Al Atra who is unfortunately censored:
It's not THAT bad, but it's still there and easily noticeable, especially when her Glitch art is uncensored.

Why bother complaining about censorship when the hair colors aren't even consistent?

I personally think people who have something against lolis are generally the pedos. Why else would little girls make someone think of pedophilia? Lolis are for receiving headpats and making you go "awwwww". These are good things.

So this may be coming from a place of ignorance on my part. Does loli just mean little girl? Because like Nanako in Persona 4 is cute and deserves headpats. Some of the stuff in like Etrian Odyssey, for example, seems like they added tits to a little girl body, which is odd to me.

Loli means girls 12 or under and 12 is borderline and not always a loli. If they look like a loli but are older this is known as a lolibaba. If they have tits they are either not a loli or the rare oppailoli

Says the guy with a literal dick-face, kek.
Sure, that little girl from that anime where a kitsune loli helped an overworked office worker to relax was fun, but when you see pics like this, which are outright sexual or close to it...

It becomes harder to justify if you're caught by a third party who's not a hardcore weaboo.

Does it play as bad as it looks?
Probably, Idea Factory is known for making mediocre or crappy games that have cute characters and some semblance of humor and coast on that, with terrible combat systems or some mechanics that tend to drag games down, that is their reputation.

That and for making the Neptunia series, the one that has 1000 spin-offs, several games in one timeline and then a reboot/remake of said timeline game per game only the remake of the first game is in another continuity compared to the remake of the 2nd game and forwards and...well, it's Idea Factory, none of the games are great but the girls are human representations of consoles and game developers so people just buy the games.

Japan doesn't have a taboo about cartoons; you can argue that loli character is in bad taste but it's obviously far removed from reality. There is even a specialist board determining what is allowed to be exported when it comes to products like eroge, for obvious reasons.

As for general visual design, cute sells, sexy sells among the intended audience. Look at the gachas that have sprung up with cute cartoon girls representing guns or ships, for example. Or the myriad that are some take on a quasi-medieval fantasy universe with an extra helping of warrior girls thrown in. <insert commentary about breakdown in romantic relationships in Japan here>

Even Rance falls into that category to some extent; battle villains, assemble a harem, fight alongside them. Just with more in-depth gameplay systems.

Back on topic, I don't have any particular love for IF games, but they obviously succeed in their own niche, or they wouldn't be produced and localised. Neptunia was popular enough to spawn an anime that was dubbed, so fair play to them.

Some mistake that people seem to have is to think that IF is the same as when they released the mainline Neptunia games for the Vita back in the days, they are wrong, during the exodus of Nippon Ichi a lot of people from the company ended up on charge of multiple projects of IF, for example Mary Skelter or the game that we are talking about in this same thread, anyone who has played true kusoge IF games knows what i'm talking about, compare Omega Quintet to Mary Skelter or against Dragon Star Varnir, old IF games relied completely on fan service there's a reason the first Neptunia got TWO remakes.

roribabaa is a young-looking character who speaks with the role language of old women and usually is assigned an age of several hundred years. Usually vampires or princesses of a long-gone age. This role language includes personal pronouns such as "warawa" and the sentence ending copula "zya". The confusion in your definition is due to this role language rarely being carried over to English.

oppai loli is a young-looking character with large breasts (D-cup or larger) that don't fit her age. I don't think the word exists in Japanese (despite using Japanese words), rori kyonyuu I think is the term there.

The rest of your definitions sound off as well but I refrain commenting about those because I have no clue what "loli" means in English.
