I post this with a bit of trepidation since... well... it is Codex but I figure the guy deserves some more publicity even though he seems like the type of good hearted person who would run in terror from this place. Anyway, he developed Faerie Solitaire, a fairly casual solitaire based game with a few twists. He struggled a bit but the magic of Steam and other outlets helped stabilize his fledgling company (which is basically just him and a few others guys). Through the month of April he's offering an Infinity Bundle for $30ish which is basically an account that will give you any and all games he creates from now until... forever (DRM and Steam versions). Currently on the horizon/in development are Faerie Solitaire 2, Faerie Alchemy (some sort of puzzle game), and FaeSaga (which seems to be sort of like the old Phantasy Star style of jRPGs).

Additionally he's doing preorders for Faerie Solitaire 2 and while you get that in the 'bundle' there are some Kickstarter-like reward tiers for big donators. Now, I'm not an anime fan, in fact I loathe it, but their artwork is pretty good (and not quite entirely anime) if anyone is interested in that particular style.

I guess the most important question here is: Are the games any good? Being a nice guy is all well and good, but if his games are BSB facebook crap he's still not getting my jewgoldz.

I enjoyed it. But, again, it's basically just a casual time waster. You could probably fit them under 'facebook' type of games. Nothing overly creative about it. The ones he's working on... might be different, haven't seen them.

Sometimes I just need my helping of daily derp.

Well, they say on their site that you'll get an infinity key if you donate over 100 jewgold to a non-secular charity. I'll see if the DKR 1000,- (~$180) I donated to cancer research last month counts.

I paid 1 buck for faerie solitaire during one of the steam sales. I got my freedom bucks worth of value from it. Sent them an email with my receipt and got a key for the bundle. Not too shabby at all.

I FUCKING LOVE FAERIE SOLITAIRE. Of course that's partially because I got it for free during a giveaway. It's a nice game for relaxing for 30 minutes or so at a time.
