Here's a taste:

In some other case I would have criticized the lack of multiplayer but after a careful analysis they were right when saying that a multiplayer mode wouldn't have been successful enough. The control which is a little bit difficult at times, the rather slow fly speed and the huge levels would have reduced your appetite for such a mode, and when you'll play for a few hours the single-player campaign, you'll see I'm right. I've read some time ago, in some interview, that they consider for the next title the possibility of beginning the game with a mature dragon, prepared for powerful confrontations. I have to admit the first hours of gameplay from I of the dragon are a little bit unpleasant, and you know the reasons already. It's pretty tough to advance (though it's easy to play the game), the beginning doesn’t offer you the type and quantity of action you were hoping for and this is why you may be tempted to give up, but if you continue, you'll discover a very interesting universe and control a mighty flying beast. The feeling you get when you're sure that the universe you're in either bows in front of you, or gets destroyed (in most cases you'll be forced to choose the second option) is a very exciting one and after a while it makes you fight until you've given your last breath. Dragon breath, of course!

If you start off being a powerful dragon, then where do you go from there?

I dunno; you could have the player starts on the bottom rung of "powerful", and make their goal to dominate the world through force and/or diplomacy, a la Sword of the Samurai (which seems to be an appropriate fit, actually).

I don't think that's what they're going to do with IotD 2, but it could be done; they'd just have to make "powerful" weak in relation to the other monsters (it should probably still be more powerful in relation to humans). (It begs the question of why you would use the word "powerful" at all...)
