Kingmaker is the closest thing we've had to the IE games since the IE game came out. I don't just mean in terms of the quality the game provides (not bugs: quality) but also in the sense that you're playing something that feels fresh. Go back to when you first started playing CRPGs and you could spot the boring clones right away, but then you played one that hooked you: it feels a bit like that.

Even if you're a grognard.
