Sawyer refuses to tag John Gonzalez because of his hispanic surname. While as an Austrofascist he is more sympathetic to Italian surname of MCA.

No way, both Spain and Austria were ruled by Habsburgs. Sawyer should love this guy.

Is there anything an Austrian regrets more than loss of Spain to Bourbons? Ever since Spain slipped away from Habsburg fingers, like a vengeful ex those who follow House of Austria see Spain as having chosen the French over them. Essentially becoming a French satellite state afterwards.

Besides, fascist racialists aren't exactly known for their loyalty to historical alliances or even historical reality. They care first and foremost for concurrent alliance and phenotypes. A hispanic is seen as an invader in USA.

The Habsburgs funneled all of Spain's wealth and power towards their failed power project in the greater balkans of germania. And it was not a coincidence that castille becomes a graveyard once the little germans took over.

I totally think it's more like when Kevin Abstract (from Brockhampton) said 'i wonder if Ameer think about me' on his Ghetto Baby album. Josh still thinks about Chris even though he's cancelled, and is willing to be totally vulnerable about that but Chris badly pretends like he doesn't think about josh at all

Its funny that neither Cainarsky nor Bethesda show this much care & ownership about Fallout than Chris & Josh, and the duo(or at least Chris) don't care about the others as much as the audience seeing them above each other as the best Fallout author. Josh/Fallout is prolly the main reason Chris left Obs above anything else :P

More like Chris and Josh are unusual among RPG devs in that they're comfortable with the limelight. Most are reclusive, rarely talking to anyone except game journalists.

They probably just don't give a shit about social media as much as younger devs do.

Does it even come as a surprise? What did Sawyer do but absorb cultural elements from other peoples while erasing them? You can see this most obviously in Pillars of Eternity, where various cultural elements from real life history are taken but they are completely erased otherwise, like customes, architecture, arms and armours from Middle-eastern and Indian cultures while not representing them genuinely. His desktop picture about Zaporozhian Cossacks which Russians ethnically cleansed and removed completely but then 100 years later absorbed wholesale to Russian identity. Now people think cossacks is a Russian thing as well.

When Josh is done with all non-European cultures of the world there will be no trace left of them, except what is absorbed which will be appropriated to Atlanto-Hyperborean Germanic race as always having been part of it. Like how Nazis did with the word Aryan and Swastika, which used to belong to Iranians and Northern Indians.

Like a lot of Yiddish words, Zaftig is just German. Zaftig = saftig = literal translation is juicy. Sawyer merely speaks his mother tongue.

Technically, 'zaftig' was imported into English via Yiddish and Sawyer's grasp of German is secure enough that he can tell it apart from saftig. If anything, your implication that the etymon, i.e. the word's völkisch root, trumps its wandering voyage through time and space means you're even more of a white supremacist than Josh is!

Fantasy/Sci-Fi > History. Story based history games that are not map painting sandboxes can easily be accused of historical revisionism, and the same settings get boring over time. When meddling with history, you should be extremely responsible, because a lot of uninformed people will buy into made-up crap with ease. In terms of RPGs, you have to also follow real life rules, which are limiting and will also get old at one point. Some historical games are fine to exist of course, because they are in of themselves something new, such as Expedition: Vikings. But it should never be the dominant setting.

Historical setting works with strategy games like Crusader Kings or Total war, but never in Rpgs. Fighting humans over and over for 50 hours, leveling up only to fight other humans, no magic abilities, not enough room for quests variety. It is just limiting and boring.
