Game allow you to exploit natural resources and make lots of $$$ off them by building an industry?

Sure. To make it faster/more efficient find resource nodes with high quality (max 200) and build mining machines almost on top of them to get the benefits. High labor skill will make it even faster. For example, the black desert is a toxic deathtrap with both iron and copper set at 200.

Anyone can suggest other locations with the highest resource yield? I know areas around crab raiders have 200 iron, and the swamp has 209 water, what about stone? Is there a 200 stone area? Hope it is not in Rebirth...

wtf, how are you only 50 hours in and buliding in vain and blah blah blah? at 50 hours I think I had 4 characters running around in rag skirts avoiding every enemy except goats and starving bandits. :) how'd you know to do all that stuff in your playthrough bro.

Why bother? One specialist-tier black chainmail sells for over 10k. How many caravans of building materials you'd have to ship to make the same amount of money?

Trading in raw resources for a living is only useful at the very start of the game, providing you don't want to savescum and make your first million by robbing weapon shops dry.

Well I recruited everyone I could in the hub and squin and made them all mine copper around squin for the first few hours, bought a house in squin and started research/stocking up building mats from the general store while the rest just mined all day.

Decided I wanted to build a base so I looked for non-arid land. Went east and quickly realized that I wanted absolutely nothing to do with the swamp, then went west and found green land and a lake that had like 12 copper nodes clumped together so I sent my best fighters and a pack beast to go fight off gorillos while they built storage boxes and walls then migrated everyone from squin once I had walls.

Guess I got lucky but I really didn't want to build a base in desert cuz of lack of fertility and fuck the swamp so vain was my only option

Just for fun, played enough so I'm starting to run out of ideas on what to do. Wanna map most high yield places in my final hours, so I can start a new game in one of these location at some point in the future. So yeah, not trade but an early game supply base/manufactory.

I found it funny that I enslaved some dudes to later buy them (there were no slaves available, I needed some). When I actually bought him he basically told me to fuck off since I've put him there in the first place.

Nice touch.

Lots of deserts have 100% fertility and good water - Border Zone most obviously. And arid is fine for wheat and cactus (i.e. dustwich), and has good winds.

The secret is to settle on the border of 2 biomes. Not only you get to grow the shit from both (swamp for rice or green for veggies), but you can plant your wind generators in two independent weather zones, pretty much guaranteeing you'll never run out of power.

The swamp is alright if you don't go in too deep. I've built a secondary base on the convergence of the swamp, shem and the border zone, and never saw a blood spider once - only an occasional beak thing or black dragon ninja raid, nothing a dozen of turrets can't handle :smug: Still sufficient to grow as much rice and hemp as you need. Tons of iron nodes in that area, too.

The gut is pretty easy if you are prepared. Raids get gutted by gutters, you don't need to grow anything because you can buy wheat and cactus from slaver farm nearby at best prices (slave labor is cheap), beak things eggs are crazy expensive too and the iron aplenty. Too bad the terrain is so damn uneven. You can also build on small islands without walls because anything trying to reach you will be too slowed by the water to escape the turrets.

Or research up to hydroponics before starting a base, so that you can grow large quantities of wheatstraw, greenfruit, hemp, and riceweed using little space.+M Batteries will support you during periods when the wind is weaker, and this happens only rarely and briefly in Shem where I built my base.

Since my PC sucks can any of you recommend a non-retarded channel of someone playing this game?

I'm planning on building a fortress on a plateau in the Fog Islands. Soon, I'll start attacking the Holy Nation. Then I'll move on to the slave owning UC. Once they are done and done, I'll wipe out the Shek nation and create a state of permanent anarchy.

it's a boring place, raids are laughable but they're constant, every 30 seconds there's an emeny platoon moving inside your turrets range, every day all the day naggers knocking on your door. do you really want to live surrounded by naggers?

Sounds like a nice place to grind turrets and perception, and since the game is all about grind anyway...

Not to settle there ofc, but a secondary outpost might be useful.

I am thinking of building a chain of minor outposts to facilitate safe travel of lone naked runners sent from the great Wewelsburg to pick up orders at Scraphouse. Nothing fancy, just motte and bailey type structures with some hydroponic rice for self-sustainability, each manned by 3-4 guys.

Finally got the game too. It's fun but holy shit, what options should I tweak to stop my graphics card from going into airplane mode???

KENSHI 2

Future Plans...
Now, our original plan was to keep the new project quiet so we could work on it without public pressure and then do a big press release when we had something to show. However it seems lots of people are getting confused or angry about us not still tinkering with Kenshi or leaving the world of Kenshi behind, so I'm going to go ahead and announce early what we are working on now, as I think it will put most people at ease.

We are starting work now on Kenshi 2!
  • It will be set 1000 years in the past, during the time of the "Old Empire" and reveal more of the world's lore and history.
  • It will be based on the same code-base and engine.
  • The engine will be upgraded to the latest version of Ogre, which should drastically improve performance.
  • Why keep the same engine? Because a completely new engine would break everything and take another million years to finish. By sticking with the same code we are making the descision to prioritise gameplay instead of graphics. (Not to mention a much faster release date)
  • The work we do on the engine upgrade will also be applied to Kenshi 1 as a free update.
  • Other core improvements or small features achieved in Kenshi 2 could also potentially be applied to Kenshi 1 as free updates.

ooo hell yeah!

I'm actually at the point in kenshi where I feel like I've basically won the game. My base is totally self sustaining with crafters constantly pumping out masterwork grade armor and crazy weapons. Fighters can take on most things in the game. I've got basically infinite money generation with over a million in the bank and hundreds of building materials etc...

Same problem I have with other games where the beginning is tons of fun but once I become too strong I start to lose interest

I think I have like the opposite of a power fantasy fetish or something :/

So I decided to try the peeler machine on a team of 15 hivers and 6 skeletons, but on my way there decided to loiter at the edge of Venge for a couple of minutes.

Saved me a lot of time :smug: Should have made a screenshot with like 60 limbs scattered all over the ground floor of the tower I've bought in the Waystation nearby.
