Arguably when placed on the Vistula river line Polish forces, if entrenched, could manage a strategic victory by prolonging the campaign for long enough for western allies to act or German generals/other dissenters to depose Hitler. There was a lot of opposition in Germany before the war that was silenced by the great success of blitzkrieg campaigns.

As if the Pole will wait for rescue from the Ruskies. A nut in the vice, they will be.

No, to the Pole, what's desirable is the western powers running to help, or strike at the Germans in the rear.

You got things turned around the wrong way. Ruskies would not come to help the Poles, they would and did come to put a dagger in their back.

I personally don't like the "dagger" analogy. It suggests some kind of a "trust" between us and the Ruskis. While in fact they got their ass handed to them like 19 years earlier. The Reds were not amused back then.

All in all an "ax in the back" would sound better.

That's even worse than selling games made with the Game Maker.
