    This is usefull for anyone trying the editor, I've managed to HUEHUE it and create a very usefull bug. If you place "on wall" object and erase the wall, they'll continue there:

    On the standard assets this will cause some weird graphic glitches and overlaying, but I took this threads idea and made a asset just for that:

    Code:
        cloneObject{
          name = "fake_wall",
          baseObject = "dungeon_ivy_1",
          model = "assets/models/env/dungeon_secret_door.fbx",
        }
    And it works perfectly, invisible walls with no need for massive coding or pressure plates rigging! :)

    Awesome! And it's free. And there was no Kickstarter!!! :)

    Now, somone needs to add in more classes, more monsters, more skills, more traits and overland areas. Hopefully the dev team will give us some official versions of these for free to prime the pump or so to speak.

    Cool that there's an editor and hopefully people will do amazing things with it! But why remake old games which are perfectly fine the way they are? (EoB, DM, CSB?) Anyone can just play them in Dosbox or in another emulator and have an experience which is consistent on all levels: graphics, sound, mechanics etc.

    Good point Elwro.

    However, this game is built to handle games like Lands of Lore really, really well. So why not make use of it? Not only that, someone remaking it can get rid of the minor flaws the original had.

    Ofcourse, it won't be done as it is too big an undertaking to do for free. You will need to make outdoor assets, drawings of castles and stuff, new monsters (biggest commitment) among other things.

    I can think of one pretty decent use for it: as a practice run if you wanted to make your own game, similar to the older one. This way you get to see whether an engine can do all you want, and how much extra work would be required to manage it. I tried making a Fool's Errand-esque game using AGS but I had to do so much extra coding and having to mess around with stuff that (to my mind) seemed illogical that I'd have been better off doing everything in Java or something instead.

    Besides, reverse-engeniring great games is good to learn one or two tricks.
