Orbital assembly has run into some snags. When I dock, phantom forces knock whatever I'm docking with for a couple of m/s worth of deltav, making the various parts I'm trying to assemble scatter. I'm working on a way around this, but it's compounded by the fact I'm getting 4-6 FPS max at the moment with all the parts in orbit.

So, can I be re-added to the rooster? I am totally ready to explore space and I wanna see if I can get enough ribbons to make a kilt!

The 4-6 fps max comes from the mothership being fucking huge. It's nothing to worry about, but it does make docking tedious as fuck. I'm looking into hacked versions of Kerbal Attachment System as an alternative to disassembling the mothership and reassembling it again with quantum struts. It just requires a little testing first before I break the savegame.

Waiting for Kerbal Attachment System to release an official patch. There are a couple of user patches out there, but they seem prone to crashing the game. Once that is in, we can do some proper struttifying. The whole disassembling/reassembling is way too fiddly. I've burnt through 80% of my monopropellant trying to keep shit from flying off because of the aforementioned phantom forces when docking.
