I remember my biggest regret in that Otto Hiln mission was always that I couldn't kill the fleeing Skaven assassin, no matter how hard I tried rushing it with the cavalry :(

I remember hacking this game way back. Beefed up a certain lone unit and tackled whole maps with only that person. Just wanted to see the finish, and I was too much of a weakling to do it the right way. :oops:

It seems that we got surprised in narrow valley, this will make manuvering cavalry quite tricky. We start by getting infantry in defensive position. Then we send Jarema to scout ahead.

We could squizze Jarema between enemy lines and attract attention of some skaven regiments. That would let infantry deal with only one enemy group at the time... but we are not manly enough to do this so we just shoot the fuckers with fiereball and hope for the best.

After shooting fireball we quickly order cavalry to get into defensive position and attempt to flank skavens with infantry, because fuck logic.

Skavens get the bait, but we now must quickly charge them with infantry and hope that it will break them, because if it won't, Wołodyjowski will get charged from behind by approaching enemy regiment. And he will surely rout. Useless fuck.

Well, we got paid but we are still quite poor. It costs us around 500 crowns to field all three regiments, and we soon should get more units. Good news are that after "human missions" we will work for dwarfs, and they pay very well. Bad news are, that missions from now on will get longer and harder. It may be problematic for me to make screenshots and play them reasonable well (I don't have any screenshots program here, I'm on win98). Two things may happen, I will start loosing missions badly*, and updates will be less frequent, or I will be unable to beat the mission while making screenshots at all. In this case I will have to continue this campaign on my winxp computer with FRAPS when I get home.

*I actually lost one battle already. 2nd ambush in patrol mission, infantry got annihilated but I didn't upload it :troll:

You are to pursue the Skaven raiding party and recapture Ceridan Ilmarin, my valued adviser. The only information I have is that they initially headed north towards the Black Mountains. You must try to reach the skaven before they disappear into their network of tunnels.
If Ceridan Ilmarin is rescued escort him to my family's hiding place in the mountains. There you will be paid by my guard. I will send my family on to the hideout and will join you after I arrange defences for Wissenheim.

Ah yes, the wizard. That's the person whose stats I cheated to ungodly levels using a hex editor. When all his stats are 10, he's virtually untouchable, but that would go for any grunt in this game.

They are not exactly very useful, pretty simillar to Grudgebringer Infantry but they have more soldiers, and that makes them unwieldy as sack of potatos rocks. But we will hire them anyway, there may be time when Wołodyjowski's infantry will be to beaten down to field them.

I fell down a ravine and was left for dead by the Orcs. I made my way back here to inform Lord Carlsson only to find him missing and the town burned to the ground. I implore you to pursue the Orcs and rescue the prisoners. Their numbers are reduced and they have taken Carlsson's gold with them. He will pay you handsomely for the return of his family.

You ought to try the Ultima Online Screenshot Utility. It should work pretty dandy. Just spam the hotkey of your choice while playing and make screenshots magically appear!

Thanks! it work's great... unfortunately not with SotHR. It says that it makes screenshot but file doesn't appear in folder. It worked fine with Myth though. But I will try to look for something that would work with SotHR because program like that would make things much easier.

EDIT: Hey it works! I'v set UOSU to save files as BMP's instead of JPG's and now it works fine with SotHR. Many thanks, Roxor!

This is where I deployed my troops. No point in drawing a battle plan yet because most important and most dangerous enemy regiment is not yet visible. Orc Big'Uns, nasty fuckers who will rape everyone in melee combat.

Big'Uns should appear north of us ready to butt-rape dwarves. This is why I deployed so close to the enemy (and in range of Arrer Boyz). You don't have to help the dwarves but their performance is what makes or brakes this battle. I deployed so close in hope that Big'Uns will attack me, not dwarves.

Cleve curses Black Orcs to help Jarema and Wołodyjowski deal with them (they are as nasty as Big'Uns).

MISSION EIGHT: VANBERG (REVENGE DEBRIEFING AND VANBERG BRIEFING)

I knew we won't be ambushed so I choose to go back to Wissenheim with only cavalry, and rest of the troops teleported for free :troll:

Sven Carlsson's guards decided to join us for the duration of Sven Carlsson plotline. Since they leave after that, they are going to be meat shields and cannon fodder (they work for free) :troll:

These Orcs must be encamped somwhere in the hills. First you will march to the town of Vanberg where greenskins have been sighted across the River Weiss just south of here. It is fortunate that the river is impassable there, otherwise they would long since have fallen to the Orch horde.

Yes, there is a bridge nine miles south east of Vanberg which is held by a unit of my personal guards. When you have reached the town you are to make the area secure. Captain Bernard will take two units of my guard and will travel with you. He has orders to follow your command.

I will give you an advance plus a personal letter of promise for 100 crowns which will be honoured at Vanberg. If all goes well you next mission will be to move to the bridge and start a search for the Orc camp.

Our choice of troops. I'm not sure if it is good idea to take Grudgebringer infantry when we have 2 regiments of Carlsson's Guard. But I'm not sure if we will be given a chance to change our troops before mission after that. So I took them with us just in case. Also, Ceridan is a dick and refuses to join us.
