That'd be nice, but I don't think it's ever gonna happen. If they sold the franchise, and C&C 5 was a success, the guy who made the decision to sell would be in trouble. This is why huge companies tend to sit on their IPs, even if they don't intend to do anything with them.

Lol at Titanfall developer getting fucked over by EA, they signed a deal with M$ to make the game xbox exclusive without even telling his company. He's got no right to complain about it though, he knew exactly what to expect getting involved with bloodsuckers like them.

EA's hedging its bets against Titanfall being a failed piece of shit even by popamole standards, while MS is disbursing a pittance to EA from its war vault, gambling on the game being a hit. If it is a hit, it'll help MS sell their plastic DLC-dispensing DRM box; if it fails, the developers will be blamed, not the Xbone or MS.

The developers are at the bottom of the shit mountain, as usual—but if you willingly work for or with EA, being shocked when some bullshit smacks you in the face is just silly. Besides, they're developing a console shooter, the greatest decline of all. Fuck 'em.

Actually new Generals is not canceled, just being remade from stratch. I hope this is good news.

You know, there is a little bit of chance that they can create a good game?
After all they shot this one after alpha feedback.

EA listens to feedback? Since when? More like they needed to cut some cost and justified this as the standard 'listening to the fans' excuses. Seriously, that people still fall for this shit.

Well, since Microsoft just has an exclusive for the "first game", couldn't the developers create "Titanfall 1.5" which is just the first game with some additional content and release it on any platform they want?

There won't be any Titanfall 2 anyway if this game flops.

In terms of multiplayer-focused shooters, I'm more curious about Turtle Rock's Evolve.

More like they're gonna hand it over to Mythic Entertainment, if those guys are still around. They're like the designated franchise serial rapists remake-guys, aren't they?

Mythic is an F2P mobile company now. Supposedly the game was cancelled because fans didn't like the F2P aspect. So, I don't know if that's likely.

Would EA consider theC&C game the fans want though? Seems more likely to scrap it entirely instead. As they said, microtransactions is the way to the future, they won't make a game that is not p2w

The solution is simple: Take the cancelled F2P game, put it in a box and sell it for $60, keep the pay2win stuff but also give players free credits to spend in the ingame store, so you can claim it's not necessary to pay.

Wasn't that bought out by Ubisoft during THQ auction? Probably shouldn't expect anything amazing.

    2K.

And I definitely expect more from it than L4D3 or Titanfall.

Oh, so 2K has it. That leaves a more optimistic outlook then, they're the only big publisher to consistently release good games.

2K is an excellent publisher for Triple-A games, for the most part.

Remember, Rockstar wouldn't be that Rockstar if they were under EA's or Activisions wings.

2K doesn't stick terrible DRM on its shit as a matter of policy, so that's already better.
