Wasn't that something we figured on our own? I mean it was pretty obvious.
Said by a man who at first voted for C that would have screwed us over.

What reasons would we have to actively not trust her?

It did not do much for us in terms of crazy power stunts (not how it works, I assume - we were told we won't be seeing crazy upgrades from possession), but it is 'there'. And if we ever manage to return back, the God of War might still happen. :salute:

Actually, could it be that the girls didn't lose hope we were alive because we were with them the whole time? :troll:

I first voted C>D in hope one of you would have come up with a plan to defy the goddess. When I saw that was not the case and y'all voted for submission I floped back to D

Who ordered Changfeng to impersonate Zhang Jue's disciple? For what purpose? Who would benefit from this? I assume the plot to KILL ALL TENTACLES PUGILISTS wasn't in effect by then.

How did we get the invitations? What was that mysterious committee that even the masters weren't aware of?

Why did Bai Jiutian challenge us to a duel after the tournament? Did Madam Nie told her to?

What hold did the eunuchs have over the pugilists? Was Mao Sanjiao a part of something bigger (he was their liaison, after all)? Come to think of it, was he a separate power from Wuxing, Ye and Cheng? Huashan was a bit of a rival to Qingcheng.

Did Mao came up with the idea for Song Jianke to call for Lingshu in a bid to remove the sect head, or was it completely on Jianke?

Who organized Wufushan and for what purpose? We know there were orthodoxes and mercenaries involved, yet the masters didn't know (?) of this.

Who eliminated Wunan and for what purpose? Why did Chanfeng fell out with BDS? Why did she work with BDS in the first place?

Was it a coincidence that Changfeng was there after the massacre to save Xiahou You? What was she doing there?

Who had an interest in eliminating Minamoto and why? Did the prefect know anything about it?

Who was that Chief You and whas was his connection to the unBRO sects? Did they help him grab power in any way, or was it a completely internal matter for the beggars?

What would have happened to Mao if we did hold the Brown Wedding? Would the sect still follow him after such a disgrace? How would Lingshu react to this?

Wasn't here. Reasons were mentioned in the update.

Committee isn't that mysterious. Bai is on the panel after all.

Pride.

Wealth and fame. They were loose allies.

No idea what this is about.

Mao Sanjiao.

Further punishment for Liu Chanfeng. They tried to silence her, she got away, Xiahou Yu nursed her back to health, clan got attacked and she saved him.

They're pirates. Everyone wants them gone.

Nie's ally.

They'd follow him in name only and make farting noises behind his back. Lingshu would've enjoyed it.

Which update, then?
“There would be people seeking to band together and bring him down by force of numbers, citing him as a threat to the pugilistic community?” you say.

“Exactly that,” beams Qi Liuwu. “But what would happen if they attacked Zhang? How do you think your master would react?”

“He’d slaughter most of them. No offense, elders, but besides the people here in this room, I doubt there are many that could defeat him. My master is strong.”

“That he is,” says Fangzhang. “That kid has always been a brutal fighter. He has absolutely no understanding of the concept of holding back.”

"And when that happens,” says Miecao, “the leaders of the Eight Sects would be forced to act. After all, we are the only ones that can bring him down, but I am afraid at that point they would ask for his head… I see. This could be what they are aiming for.”

“But why do that?” you ask. “What is the purpose of it all?

“Unfortunately I’m not sure about that,” says Wang. “They could have some deeper motive for doing so, but it is out of my calculations for now."
Was it an attempt to consolidate the sects under Nie's rule before the Fire Cult came along? Who was the mastermind?

Committee isn't that mysterious. Bai is on the panel after all.
Right, but why send us an invitation? Was it a courtesy, or a plot connected to the one above?

Mao Sanjiao.
Okay, but what were the reasons to attack the Fire Cult? There is no wealth or fame to be gained there by attacking them from the shadows.

Nie and co.

Connected. Remember they don't know who the disciple of Zhang Jue is at the time.

They're still a threat to the orthodox order. People do have more than one motivation to act on. Also, Lady Ji.

Hobo Rider kind of reminds me of pre-space Senya. It's time for something completely different.

What did we need to do to get the 'happy' ending*, one that keeps the country together under Shun's rule without succumbing to the Gods?

Or one does not simply defy the Heavens' will in Wuxia and that was bound to happen anyway?

In what way the astrologer would allow us to 'better prepare' for what awaited us in the Palace?

Was there a point in becoming Darth Vader if the country was doomed anyway? Speaking of which, how bloody would that path turn out to be? Would anyone listen to us, or would they assume that the Emperor has gone mad (as was actually the case)?

*the current ending is as happy as it gets, as we managed to keep everyone who mattered to us alive, but still, there might have been a better one :powergamer:

Realistically, nothing you you could have done.

Unlock hidden options with Nuwa should you pray.

You get a cool cape and war mask. Some listen and side with you, many don't.

treave, how similar to ours was Yang Xue's story? I get the feeling he did the same thing for Li Ming that we have done for Shunbro.

You get all the techs.
Yeah, but would it help us any better than the ultimate Sword Tech we've got? Or did it not make a difference in the outcome how we choose to fight?

What about the first question? What would the astrologer tell us that could serve as a leverage when speaking to a God? Or if it wasn't leverage, then what would those secret options be for?

Or is it... SPOILERS?
DUN-DUN-DUNNN!

You Hobo Rider fans do realize that we have different options for creating a superhero if we pick that? There are some different things we can go with too, bros:

2015: Initial appearance of the Corona Aurum flowers recorded. Scientists are baffled at its DNA, which does not share any resemblance with any flowering plant on Earth.

2016: The flowers are found to contain compounds that promote cellular longevity. Research intensifies.

2018: First animal experiments involving the flower extracts take place under a project by the Fenrir Corporation. Ends in the death of twelve researchers and twenty security personnel.

2020: The Ash Giant manifests in the Tokyo Bay. Inhabitants initially think it is a prank for an upcoming monster movie. Millions die in the first few hours. In the coming months, the Ash Giant proves to be impervious to conventional weaponry. Japan is thoroughly ravaged. The decision to utilize nuclear weapons is approved. Eventually, the giant is successfully destroyed, but the cost in lives and infrastructure is immense. The Japanese Home Islands are reduced to a lifeless radioactive wasteland.

2021: The first Ash Winter occurs as the giant’s dispersed particles, circulating in the upper atmosphere for the past year, finally fall back to Earth. They prove to have adverse physiological effects. Not all succumb to the infection, but those life-forms that do mutate into ashen-white creatures that do nothing but devour. Cases begin appearing simultaneously all over the globe. The creatures are dubbed the Cineres.

2024: Corona Aurum flowers are proven to be able to resist the infection. Work on a nanomachine-deployed vaccine begins in earnest as mankind makes their retreat into filtered biodomes, losing ground under the Cineres onslaught.

2025: The Fenrir Corporation completes their work on the nano-vaccine. Humanity starts to fight back.

2030: The last of the Cineres are eradicated. The world begins its recovery. Rapid progress is made in the field of artificial intelligence, networking and cybernetics.

2038: Children with strange, inexplicable abilities begin to appear.

2040: The children are traced back to mothers who were vaccinated while previously in preliminary infectious stages of the Cinis disease. The media begins calling them Ash Children.

2045: Tensions regarding the Ash Children intensify, with religious cults forming around some of the more powerful individuals.

2050: A war over the Ash Children begins between the surviving nations, as they struggle for dominance in the rubble of their once thriving civilizations.

2052: Nuclear weapons are used, though the circumstances behind the event are unclear.

2053: The war ends with the remaining countries agreeing to unite for the sake of their continued survival. Most of the Ash Children did not survive the war. New Children are still born occasionally.

2060: The Fenrir Corporation establishes the League of Superheroes, a commercial endeavour that utilizes modern technological advancement and the abilities of the Ash Children to develop an organization of superheroes that fight crime. It does not take a year before the first eager supervillains appear.

2070: The League has become a reality TV show where heroes are ranked by both power and popularity. Superheroes are now a career pathway...

We can go with that character cool, but if this ends up winning, perhaps we can be creative and think up a character of our own?

Hoboridery, adventure, and steel on steel! The stuff of Legends!

We need a hero with an S-tier intellect to make up for the retardation of the voters. It is the only way our character will live through the prologue.

U-United c-countries? :decline: I don't to unite with these foreigners! They are b-baka idiotas! International intrigue ftw! Long live Nationalism! Down with internationalist opression! Long live the Assembly of Sovereign Nations!

I dunno Nevill. I do remember many of our retarded choices with Senya worked because Senya had the brainpower to make them workable. But Jing was above-average intelligence and yet we got through with his natural improvisation ability. Remember the final fight? Jing won in the Jing way - Do some epic improvisation against a smarter, stronger enemy.

PS: Get a real avatar, bro.

Well my idea is Ninja Gaijin - a guy that is a 'ninja' but is not of Japanese origin (Sam-Fishery-style dude maybe?).
