I can't really think of negative side effects of pissing off the nuns.

The Abbess already knows what is coming next.

I want more secret beggar techniques. To do that we need to win cash for our drunken bro.

No, he will do it, because the honorable, respected Masters of the orthodox pugilistic world are all degenerate alcoholics and gamblers, with Master Qi being the worst of the lot. This probably explains why he's a Beggar - he keeps making horrible bets! I mean, look at this:

All the other bets over years. This means he's been making lousy bets and getting cleaned out by the Abbot for fucking years. He's hoping that we make him back all the money that he's lost over that time! Qi will definitely keep betting on us.

And, as Smashing Axe said, we need to make him money so that he shares more of his stuff with us. I'm pretty sure that the folks who voted to go for the Beggar mission back when we were with Yao will agree.

Bro, it's pretty much "in for a penny, in for a pound" at this point. We've already displayed our full range of techniques, so now there is nothing left to do for us but to go for the win, reveal our identity, and issue our challenge to the various sects publicly. The die has been cast.

As for our medium-term plans, well, I think that this has really neutralized the WiB's ability to turn the situation in their favour. They tried to turn Guo Fu into a scapegoat, but since he was beaten by Man Tiger Pig decisively, people won't believe that he's Zhang's apprentice anymore. They can't turn Man Tiger Pig into a scapegoat either, because the crowd loves us even more than they love Bai Jiutian at this point. They'll love us even if we are Zhang's apprentice, because we're exciting and different from the previous champ.

Well I agree about wining and revealing our identity, but would it be necessary to issue our challenge right here? Why not go at them one at the time instead. This way we could catch the first couple of sects off guard, and since we have publicly declared our real identity after (hopefully) winning the tournament they wouldn’t be able ignore our challenges or send cannon fodder first at us - they would have to take our challenge seriously.

Holy shit, can anything break Guo Fu? Going for B on this one, just so I can bitch and moan if A fails.
Even better, with his experience and contacts in the palace, he already recognized us as Shun's spy and is drawing us into a trap to reveal ourselves!

My favorite from the Epic had to be killing Kyrie and getting Earth bombarded from orbit, though we managed to turn that around in the end. That or sphere diplomacy.:D

treve seems to have some sort of bizarre castration fixation, so no doubt "little Jing" will suffer the consquences this time. Ironic given everyone's desire to LARP Rance.

There's a certain saying regarding that.

As for this choice, perhaps B might lead to + Yifang points (see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py3-9juOsYU).

However, I still want to beat Nameless and I see no reason not to exercise our hidden Trolling skill. A

What caused our rep to suddenly go down with Taishan and Huashan while getting boosted for Shaolin, Beggars and Wudang?

Well, we were already at -5 with Taishan because we decided to hang back while Murong Yandi beat the living shit out of their team, so I guess that caused some animosity. Considering that we haven't displayed any of our techniques until this fight, I think it has to do with the Huashan and Taishan being butthurt at our secrecy throughout the tournament, like we didn't bother to try against them. Now that we've beaten Guo Fu with a style that's completely unknown to them, they're suspicious of us and want to see the face behind the mask.

The boost with the Beggars obviously is related to Qi putting money on us and the Shaolin boost is probably related to the Abbot finds us entertaining and enjoys our antics.

Speaking of the mask, it's good that nobody who could be affiliated with the WiB saw our face while we're still injured. Whatever their plan is, it hinges on using Zhang's apprentice as a scapegoat, and now that we've beaten Guo Fu, nobody will believe that he's the real apprentice. They may have to abort whatever it is they wanted to do altogether because of this, because things are more likely to be traced back to them.

Well, if we've already revealed our techniques and our identity after becoming tournament champion, then we aren't exactly catching anybody off-guard, are we? We're issuing the challenges because we're in a place where the heads of Qingcheng, Emei, Shaolin, Kunlun, and the Beggars are all present. As the champ and the disciple of the feared Master Zhang, they'd have to accept the challenge since we've proven ourselves worthy. But hey, I suppose we're putting the cart before the horse here. We'll see what our options are if we manage to actually win this thing.

I don't know about Taishan, but I'm sure our Huashan rep dropped because we disrobed their pretty little flower.

On a related note, since Bai Jiutian seems to really desire the affection of onlookers I suspect he will be especially susceptible to trolling. I can't wait.

    Here, obviously
I think the drops to both Huashan and Taishan had to do with them jeering for the officials to remove our mask when we got hurt, or something like that.

The basics of your movements are the same, so it is not entirely random. It's difficult, but even if they recognize it, it doesn't mean they can exploit it that easily.

Which brings me to something I need to point out about showing off techniques. At this stage I think it is fine to make a comment on it.

Not everyone walks around here with a video recorder in their head. Not everyone is a master with an encyclopedic knowledge of every technique that ever existed.

Demonstrating your techniques casually at average speed, yes, they can catch that after a few fights. Going all out with AGI 10 speed and unpredictable movement? How easy is that to observe and analyze? All they're coming away with, if they have no prior knowledge of your fighting ability, is that you're fast, strong, and that your moves are brutal and unpredictable.

They're not all Cao'er with her instant recall. They can't just replay your fight in slow motion and nitpick your technique to death in a blow by blow analysis.

And even if they did, how would they counter? Matching you in speed is impossible for many of them. Thinking up something that is likely to work isn't that easy. They can theorize, but putting it into practice against a nutcase raining down claws on you is a different matter. You can do it, but you're also possessed of a talented fighting instinct and you have the agility to back it up, if not always the ability.

Now, when you're fighting the sects seriously but need to hold back to avoid killing them, that's when they'll be able to catch most of your techniques.

But does it even matter all that much in the long run? No. It really doesn't. If you're going to lose just because people know your techniques, you aren't a good fighter in the first place. Like Rong Jr. Things are going to get harder, of course, but it's not doom and gloom either.

No counter is totally and forever effective. If you fight Yifang fairly here you'll see an example of that. :troll:

Even if you win unscathed in A, you still won't be in anywhere near peak condition for tomorrow's fight. Going all out against Guo Fu has made sure of that. At this point your chances against Nameless are already not too good, though not yet impossible.

Taishan and Huashan went down a bit because they thought you were showing off, and basically because they already dislike you. Shaolin actually went up because they were impressed how you went head to head with Jinzhongzhao and overpowered it. Wudang, just impressed with your fight overall. Beggars appreciate that you are good for business.

edit: One last thing about Guo Fu and his neigong. As some of you may have noticed, his breathing and focus is essential to executing the skill properly. It is a very qi-dependent technique. What happened here is that you took the hard way and basically smashed yourself against him until it gave out. No one sane would actually take on a master of Jinzhongzhao that way, only a maniac would even try it. Most people attempt to overcome it via softer, more refined methods. Yuhe Finger, for example, would have allowed you to win more safely by disrupting his qi.

He seems like a narcissist. Winning the crowd is good if we want to get in his head. Trash-talk if we win the tournament is equally important. Remind him that the competition he's faced sucks and that the person that nearly beat him in last year's finals is the person that we had to face in the prelims. Then mention that we managed to kill a Huashan swordsman at Songfeng when we barely knew how to hold a sword, which just goes to show how worthless that style is. (Rong Jr sucked, but let's not let truth get in the way of good shit-talking)

As for the choice, I'm starting to have some misgivings about A. The biggest worry for me is how Cao'er would react. It's okay for us to humiliate someone like Nie Mudan that she doesn't know, but Yifang is her sister, so she'll feel really pissed off about it. This is very bad for us, because we need her to patch us up as much as possible for the fight against Nameless. I know it's all speculative on my part, but I'm worried that she might refuse to patch us up if we decide to embarrass her sister like we did Nie Mudan. Yeah, Cao'er said she didn't mind being second or third in our glorious harem, but I don't think that she would like it if we played a trick on her sis like that.

As for B, unlike with Fu, we're at no risk of worsening our injuries against Yifang. We've seen before against the bandits that she's hates going all-out when fighting. I think that the better choice long-term might be B, even if it poses the risk of losing this particular match. Should we actually win the fight fairly, we might be better off for tomorrow.

Dunno if this has been covered but-
All you bros voting A, why would a skull cap throw Yifang off? We know why, but what would that mean to an outsider? It isn't a far call to assume then that MTP knows her from before and from there a few right jumps gets them to deduce who can be the Man Tiger Pig Khan. We're gonna reveal ourselves anyway, but this could yank out the rug from under us. And again, this means that they'd want to keep a closer eye on Yifang even AFTER the tourney, outting her at risk, which would make it difficult for us to add her to the harem teach her streetsmarts.

Unless we're using the skull cap like a regular skull cap, only creatively.
